Pick any other peptide in your fridge and try to find a national drug registry that lists it as an approved medicine. Most cannot. But Selank and Semax have been registered pharmaceutical products in Russia for years, prescribed as anxiolytic and nootropic agents respectively, produced to pharmaceutical manufacturing standards, with package inserts, approved indications, dosing guidance, the whole apparatus.
That fact cuts both ways and that is what makes this interesting. On one hand, these are not bathtub research chemicals. Something in the regulatory dossier convinced a national authority. On the other hand, no Western regulator has ever evaluated them, no large international trials exist, and independent analytical testing of the versions circulating on gray markets is scarce. A registered Russian medicine and the vial you ordered last Tuesday share a name and possibly nothing else.
Then add the practical layer nobody discusses. Stability. These are short chains that degrade, and every claim about potency assumes the product survived storage and shipping intact. There is essentially no consumer-accessible way to verify that.
So my question to the long term users of both. Did you notice any difference between sources, or does every batch feel identical, which would itself be suspicious given how supply chains work. And would you trust a compound more or less knowing that a real regulator somewhere approved it but yours did not come from that system.
