That 99 Percent Purity Claim Has A Hole

NBC Washington published an analysis showing nearly 30 percent of peptide samples tested came back mislabeled, underdosed, overdosed, or contaminated. Not speculation. Actual lab results from independent testing.

Look at the numbers. If you are ordering from a vendor claiming ≥99 percent purity on every product and none of them ever publishes raw chromatograms for third-party verification, something is wrong. PeakForm mentioned in their 2026 guide that independent testing only adds confidence when chain of custody, sample selection, report authenticity, and lot matching are all documented. Most vendors skip at least half of those steps.

The Precision Peptide Company made headlines in 2025 because their BPC compound hit 95.5 percent purity in independent testing—and that was newsworthy. That single data point tells you everything about baseline industry standards.

Question for anyone who has actually paid for independent testing outside vendor COAs. Did your results match what the supplier promised? Or did you find discrepancies worth posting about?
