The label states milligrams per vial. The certificate confirms the number. The buyer trusts both. But neither proves that what is inside matches what was analyzed. Samples submitted to labs come from manufacturers, not from the batch the buyer received. Chain of custody breaks between synthesis and delivery.
The economics explain why independent testing is rare. Cost of third-party analysis exceeds cost of the product itself. Ordering a single vial tested means paying three times the purchase price. Most buyers accept the risk because the alternative is financially irrational.
There is another dimension to consider. Homogeneity within a vial is not guaranteed. Aggregation during lyophilization can concentrate active compound at bottom while leaving top layers diluted. Drawing from different depths of the same vial yields different concentrations. That variation goes undocumented and uncorrected.
The community accepts this uncertainty because transparency would destroy business models built on low-cost production. But acceptance does not make it safe. Two buyers from the same vendor can receive substantively different products with identical labels and certificates.
