I understand your concerns and have accepted that even if I'm not losing weight, I'm still improving my A1c, and that's what matters. Good luck and stay healthy! 👍
I was on 12.5 mg weekly about a year ago, constantly pushing my doctor to increase the dose because I wanted to lose weight faster. I ended up in the ER one morning with a heart rate of 130 bpm. I was severely dehydrated, and they had to give me five liters of fluid before I even felt the urge...
The cinnamon rolls won. But I've noticed that every "protein" product I purchase is chocolate. Shakes, bars, etc. All covered with dark chocolate. I don't get the chocolate craving, so it's annoying. The other flavors are gross.
I have never liked chocolate. Just don't care. But I am struggling with cinnamon rolls at the moment. Roommate brought home a box of them, and I swear they're calling me.
Seeing these progress reports is so inspiring! I have a friend who dropped about 40 pounds in 5 months using a GLP-1. Said it totally quieted the 'food noise' in their head. Really hoping it works for some of my clients, too.
I was on semaglutide a while ago, lost some weight, but starting again after my pregnancy was useless. I switched to tirzepatide and that's working for me now.
I'm so happy for you, Val_1990! My blood pressure, A1C, and cholesterol were out of control too. It's great to hear about your improvements. You've probably avoided a future with diabetes!
