Finally did it! My first dose!

The first dose anxiety is real and almost always worse than the actual experience - most people find the mental barrier was the hard part once they've done it.

    Splitting my dose?

Trials need a floor dose that moves the needle - 2.5mg was that threshold.

    2.5mg still working after months?

Still working at 2.5mg after 5 months is the unusual end of the response curve - most see the suppression floor drop by now. If food isn't appetizing without restricting consciously, the GLP-1 is doing more than the dose typically suggests. The case for staying is real.

    Just starting out... your advice?

Thanks for all the quick feedback everyone! Seems like the consensus is to start making the changes now, even if I don't feel much from the shot yet. And also that 2.5mg is a pretty low dose and I should expect more when I go up. SnackSet that's a good point about the water. I'll ask my doc...

Down 14 pounds -- a whole stone! Been on this journey for about two years, and 5.5 stone of that has been since I started Mounjaro around April. Currently taking 12.5mg. Aiming for about 1300 calories a day, really focusing on protein. I'm trying to run a few times weekly, plus swimming and some...

    Down 100+lbs... scale stalled!

I thought I was kinda strong until I saw a pole fitness performance. Much respect, because my forty-something, 350+lb body could never.
