    Down 50+ lbs...Ozempic rules!

Dropped 53 pounds total. That photo in the purple shirt came from last year's softball season wrap-up, team photo request, and it happened right after a fracture in my arm during the previous game, ending up as pretty much the sole snapshot I had of myself from that stretch when the pounds were...

    Done with maintenance! Now what?

Your results might differ, but I just hit 48, five foot six, and over the past year plus have dropped about a third of my starting weight. Sitting at 143 now and trying to figure out the maintenance phase.

GLP-1 Slow Start - Anyone Else?

Just my first week so nothing noticeable yet, but sticking with the nine clicks for two weeks before bumping to 0.25 so my body can ease into it. Fingers crossed I feel something once I hit that mark.

Upping my dose - kinda scared!

You're already under goal weight, congrats! My concern with titrating up this late is ending up dependent on the higher dose just to maintain, which makes eventually weaning off harder than if I'd leaned on solid habits from the start.

    Down 50 pounds woah!

2mg every 3 days giving good appetite suppression while staying aware of stomach space is the right frame for the dose you're at. 249 to 198 on 1mg is solid - the belt becoming the indicator rather than the scale is one of those practical measures that tells you more. 160 from 198 is very...

Brain not catching up with weight loss?

The metacognitive framing is worth pursuing - the same attentional and perceptual patterns that shaped how you moved through the world at higher weight take longer to update than the weight does. The body image lag is documented in the bariatric literature because it shows up consistently...

    Halfway to goal!

Week 12 on Reta and 26 lbs down from 175 - that's a 15% loss just on the Reta portion on top of the 46 you put in before starting. The OP at 250 is halfway through a 120 lb journey. Your numbers show what the combination of prior work plus the Reta layer actually looks like when you stack them...

    Mots-c & NAD+ Daily? Bad idea?

The subjective benefit from MOTS-c is reportedly low for a lot of people - it's primarily affecting mitochondrial gene expression pathways that don't produce a direct felt sensation the way caffeine does. If the objective metrics - workout performance, recovery time, energy levels over days not...

Switching to Reta - dosage Qs

The taper-down approach on Tirz while ramping Reta tends to work better than stopping cold. Dropping over 3-5 weeks rather than going from full dose to nothing avoids the overlap effect where both are working at full strength simultaneously. What dose of Reta are you planning to start?

Reta Dosage & Weight Loss - What to Expect?

I would've gone with tirz first if it was available, but reta was what I could get. Started at a lower dose, then bumped it harder because trial data showed bigger jumps worked better for weight loss. Honestly felt like time was the real factor - didn't want to waste months creeping up slow...

Is it a bug, or did I overdo it?

Interesting thread. Quick questions: think SIBO might cause my LPR? Best way to test? Bloating and constipation since I was a kid, better now but still IBS when traveling. Started kefir and chia, big improvement in bowel movements. Probiotics right dose? Mixing kimchi helps?

Weight loss stall - driving me nuts!

If you're a woman, are you dealing with perimenopause or menopause? I've read studies suggesting that low estrogen levels can reduce how well GLP-1 meds work in women. Some doctors are now prescribing HRT and seeing improvements. I'm in the same situation. I was on wegovy for about a year, at...

Weight loss stall - driving me nuts!

To push past a stall, try eating at your maintenance calorie level for two or three weeks. Your body might need to reduce cortisol levels to start losing again. Staying in a calorie deficit for too long can really stress your body. Also, reduce your exercise intensity during the maintenance...

Down 70 lbs! A year on this stuff...

Started sema in early Dec and by May 1 I'd lost 21.5 lbs. Hit a couple stalls and the scale bounced around, but slow and steady wins. Started at 278, down to 257, on 2.5mg (35 units). My doc's been conservative with bumps—every 4 weeks, not rushing. Is 21 lbs good? Yeah, I think so.

    GLP-1 meds: non-responders?

I had rotator cuff issues and tendon stuff. Used one combo stack last year, this time I put one thing right on the injury and another in the belly separately. Works. Pain's way down, range of motion is better, arm got stronger. Only done 7 doses though and not consistent.
