    100 down! Anyone else?

I'm 49f and started O in August 2022 for t2d. Since then I'm down roughly 85 pounds, plus or minus 5. Portions are what changed, the food itself hasn't, and by that I mean I still eat often but each time it's far smaller than before.

Tirz, Cagri, Sema all at once?

omg same, on tirz since april and down 40 # through diet, exercise, lifestyle and microdosing, about 2 mg of tirz two times weekly. but this past week food noise won't quit and i get weird snack attacks (i'm drinking more water to push through). i just ordered cagri because what i read says it...

Ozempic shut down the food chatter!

Same story, an antipsychotic added 57 pounds for me and brought the food noise too. My very first Ozempic injection was today, so wish me luck.

Just started Oz... is this normal?

Did they prescribe Oz for weight loss or for diabetes? I'm type 2 and it's AMAZING for me. Side effects are pretty mild once you get through the adjustment period.

    Enough with the protein craze?

Maybe I lean a bit heavy on protein, but it keeps me full. Roughly 200g of my day's intake is protein, 40% carbs, remainder fat, with a tracking app doing the math. I've come to like single-ingredient foods and skip processed heat-and-eat boxes, so I shop the outer aisles. My wife calls my go-to...

Tirz + Reta or Cagri... or split dose?

Injected 0.75mg and I'm honestly torn on whether it's doing anything at all. My opinion on cagri keeps flipping day to day, but bottom line it isn't delivering the hunger control or quieter food thoughts I was hoping for. Tried combining cagri and reta once and ended up feeling awful with no...

    GLP-1 Insurance Woes in '26?

When I began this medication class my BMI sat near 40. Coverage denied it since diabetes wasn't part of my diagnosis. Plenty of online options run upward of $200 monthly, which adds up fast. My suggestion is checking with your regular doctor for a prescription instead, usually a simple process...

    Almost to goal! Feeling good!

My target kept shifting over time. Started out as reaching a healthy BMI. Once I got there though, I realized that number still wasn't the right marker for me since my body fat percentage, visceral fat, and waist-to-height ratio were still outside a healthy range. Also wanted some flexibility...

Starting Reta - First Week Results?

Kicking off week five! Where things stand: Height 5'7, woman All-time heaviest: 221 (had already shed 46 pounds before starting this medication) Beginning point: 175 Today: 165 (2 pounds lower than last check-in, woo!) First milestone: 160 Second milestone: 140 Dosing: Injection number five...

    Anyone else a slow loser?

Yeah, I see them as different too. The third compound's really quieted down most of my mental chatter about food. I don't spend much time thinking about getting to a meal, but I'm not exactly hungry either. Earlier in the day I fill up easily, but by evening it gets easy to just keep eating and...

Doc's Insta post on Ozempic 🤔

One thing I find genuinely fascinating is how certain people, usually those who've never carried extra weight, respond to someone else's weight loss with something bitter. Tales about an acquaintance who got seriously ill from this medication class. An account of someone regaining everything...

    Mounjaro: Metabolism Booster?

Since you mentioned dieting, I'm guessing you're carrying excess stored fat like I was. Fat is energy storage, ideally the body taps it for fuel when needed. If signaling worked properly, the body would recognize reserve fuel is available and open that pathway freely. Starvation mode, where the...

    GLP-1 check-in: How's it going?

Same reason it gets taken here honestly. Vision's noticeably improved too, eyes apparently checking out really healthy these days. A1C sits at 5.6, cholesterol's looking great, and there's been a solid amount of weight lost on top of all that.

    Staying on GLP-1 meds forever?

That glasses comparison really clicked for me, helped me accept this might just be permanent. Nobody questions when someone stops needing them. For most of us, these medications are basically the same deal, ongoing.

Reta dose - up too fast?

Worth reading up on reta's half-life and how it accumulates in the blood as you keep dosing. Ramping up the way you're describing basically sets you up to blow past your own tolerance and trigger whatever reactions you're already prone to. What I'd suggest instead is sticking to the standard...
