    Semaglutide: What to know?

The NEJM trial showed 15% average body weight loss at 2.4mg weekly over 68 weeks in non-diabetics - that's the data the FDA chronic weight management approval was built on.

    Talking GLP-1s with Your Doctor

Rescheduling changes dispensing rules, not the prescription requirement - a provider script is still required. Weight history plus comorbidities is what makes the PCP conversation land.

    Down 20, feeling great!

162 to 141 with 20 more to goal is the first chapter closing - the clothing changes tend to outpace the scale in what they actually show.

    GLP-1 users eating MORE chocolate?

I'm only on my first week of using the medicine (.25mg) so things haven't changed drastically yet, but I'm hopeful after seeing everyone else's transformations! I'm using an app to save recipes and track my calories, and focusing on mindful eating.

    GLP-1 users eating MORE chocolate?

I am a chocolate addict who does not want chocolate since starting tirz. I am surprised by this article. I have not craved chocolate in months. However, I will take a small handful of M&M's if they are around...because they're there.

    GLP-1 users eating MORE chocolate?

I think Lindt might be right. At first I thought it was nonsense but Lindt makes premium chocolate. Many of us used to scarf down cheap snacks. Now that we don't have a voice screaming "eat everything," we can spend more on better quality.

    GLP-1 users eating MORE chocolate?

Not me. I don't care about sweets now.

Slow weight loss on sema a worry?

I agree with Meal_xo, slow progress is still progress and can be more sustainable! You got this! Don't give up. Plus, the reduced food noise is a huge win already!

Slow weight loss on sema a worry?

Any progress is still progress, and 5 lbs when you're starting at 168 is awesome. Keep at it! For the first month, I didn't change my diet at all or even check the scale. I let my body get used to the medication and focused on small changes like less food noise, which led to less binging and...

EpiPen - overkill or smart move?

I got some generic auto-injectors. They were pretty cheap with insurance. Can't be too safe, just do what you feel is right. Honestly, it's a good idea to have them around for any kind of reaction, not just for peptides - think meds, food, all kinds of stuff.

    Reta transition woes?

Sorry, I missed that earlier. I was just shy of a month on Tirz, taking 2.5mg twice a week. I took a couple more doses of Tirz to help bridge before my Reta levels were high enough to take over. No side effects except for feeling a little cold. Tomorrow will be four weeks since I started the...

    Reta transition woes?

Just to be clear, it takes around 4-5 weeks at a certain weekly dose to reach a steady state where the intake rate and elimination rate are balanced. That's why a weekly dose gives you a consistent average level of exposure.

    Reta transition woes?

So far, bridging from Tirz to Reta, getting my Reta levels up where they should be based on the trial data, has kept my hunger and food cravings totally in check. It's been about 10 days since I took any extra Tirz. My Tirz level is around 1.3mg right now, and I don't think I'll need any more...
