GLP-1s and Alcohol: What to Expect

Benzyl alcohol is the preservative in BAC water - 99.95% pure is the standard for research-grade use, not drinking alcohol.

    Down 26, feelin' good!

Hydration is easy to underestimate on GLP-1s - reduced food volume means less incidental water from meals.

    Low dose maintenance? Anyone else?

The lowest effective dose for maintenance is the right target - drug burden goes down, cost goes down, and most people find their floor is well below their active-loss dose. Step down gradually and watch where the hunger baseline stabilizes.

Taking a fiber supplement has been helping me a lot since starting the medication, you should really try it!

    Bad thoughts on Ozempic?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm feeling much better now that I've adjusted my meds. I really appreciate the support! In_The_Making, it's reassuring to know I'm not alone in this. It's easy to feel like you're losing your mind when you have those thoughts.

    Bad thoughts on Ozempic?

So, I bumped my Ozempic dose up to 2mg. I've been on a lower dose for over a year with zero issues, but my A1c wasn't great, so my doctor wanted to increase it. I've had a rough year, and things have been stressful. I'm on Effexor and Buspirone for about 15 years now. I don't usually have these...

    Scale ain't budging - halp!

I agree with HawkRN and Tone_998, you should definitely try upping your calories by a little bit each day, and try to get it from good sources. I know a lot of people see success with that!

    Scale ain't budging - halp!

It sounds like body recomposition! You're likely shedding fat and gaining muscle at the same time. This can stall the scale. Are you taking measurements? Are you shrinking in inches? How do your clothes fit? Are you getting stronger? Are you taking progress pics? Do you look more toned?

    Jeans Size Down, Woot!

Major win today! I took the plunge and grabbed a smaller size in jeans while shopping. I was so nervous they wouldn't fit when I got home, but they do! I'm now a UK size 14, down from a 16, and an 18 at my heaviest. Super proud of myself! 🥳
