Life changing meds!

How do you all define goal weight versus ideal weight? I'm 180cm, 104kg now. Ideal says 71kg but that's 33kg down from start and seems huge. Should I aim for a compromise like 80kg or push to ideal? What's realistic?

The confidence piece is what most people don't predict going in. The weight change is visible in the mirror but the social change - being able to show up in the moment without the mental overhead - is the part that's harder to anticipate. Threads like this are useful because they show the full picture rather than just the scale numbers. For people on the fence about whether the sides are worth it, reading what actually changes in daily life is often the more persuasive data point.

Persistent hunger through the full weekly cycle is the clearest indicator of inadequate dose or medication fit - if it's not quieting by mid-week, the prescriber conversation is appropriate.

The 'wanted to but never did' pattern with nausea is more common than people expect - the signal fires but the actual event is rare. When the GI effects go the opposite direction that tends to persist longer into the treatment than the nausea does for most people. The cannabis mention is worth noting - it can interact with both the nausea response and the GI motility in ways that are hard to separate.
