Injection Volume: What's Your Sweet Spot?

What volume do you guys aim for when you mix your peptides for injections? I'm trying to keep the site irritation minimal.

Any insights are much appreciated!

So, the branded GLP-1s like Ozempic and Mounjaro usually have injection volumes around 0.5mL, except for the higher doses of Wegovy which are 0.75mL. With Ozempic, the lowest dose is 0.375mL, but the rest are 0.75mL.

When I started using tirzepatide, I aimed for 0.5mL since that seemed to be the standard, and I didn't have any issues. Later, when I got vials with more, I went down to 0.25mL to 0.4mL, depending on the dose. Lower volumes didn't give me ISRs, but the injection spot felt a little more sensitive that day. No welts or itching, though.

It's really up to you, but I usually suggest aiming for 0.25mL to 0.5mL. It depends on the vial contents and dose, and keeping the math simple. More liquid usually means more accurate dosing since it's easier to measure.

I've injected up to 80 units (0.8mL) of insulin before. Currently, I reconstitute to have 10mg per 1mL because I have 30mg vials. My own Janoshik test indicated 33.88mg per vial. I use 3.4mL of BAC water, which gives me 0.1mg per 1 unit. I use Savvio pens.

I'll maintain this ratio until I reach the 60-unit (6mg) threshold of the pen, then switch to a twofold concentration of 0.2mg per 1 unit by reconstituting with 1.7mL.

For me, 0.7mL is perfect. Easy to measure, not too much waste, and comfortable to inject.
0.7mL does sound pretty doable. I might try that next time. Less waste is always a plus!

I've found that keeping a log really helps ensure I don't miss a dose or accidentally double up, especially with the pens. I write down the date, time, injection spot, dose, and number of clicks on the pen box each time. It's super helpful!

I've heard some people prefer injecting closer to the area they're targeting, like with BPC-157 for injuries. Anyone have experience injecting near an injury site versus just subq in the stomach?
I usually go for subq in the stomach. Seems just as effective and easier to deal with.

Two weeks on 2mg every six days, bumped to 3mg. Appetite suppressed perfectly and energy shot up. Burping from slow digestion probably.

He was saying not to microdose because the research teams figured it out already. Then recommended starting point two five to point five with sweet spot around four milligrams weekly.

Taking 8 units three weeks running because results feel so good. Maybe 0.375 works perfectly for me. Eating's become tough, forcing meals since food isn't on radar. Down ten in the last month.

Been using this for 4 months, at 1mg now. Just bought a new pen with 3 doses left. Today when I injected I think I left it in too long and a tiny bit of blood got in. Normal? Should I toss it? Don't want to, it's pricey. Anyone else seen this?

The frequency window tends to matter as much as volume for managing the hunger curve - a 5-day cycle keeps the trough hunger lower than 7-day spacing for most people.

Twenty days is a solid window to dial in - enough time to see how each increment actually settles without rushing the titration.

Most people target 0.3-0.5mL per site to keep injection volumes manageable - lower volume tends to mean less irritation and faster absorption for sub-q peptides.
