First week - Feeling hopeful!

super responder here. lost 100 lbs in 6-7 months and kept it all off. changed how i eat completely since starting. food noise is gone, eating small meals throughout the day instead of all day grazing. a1c is normal now. feels amazing honestly.

First week is special. You're still figuring out what's normal and what's just your body recalibrating. The noise quieting down hit me hard early on too - I remember eating half a plate and genuinely not wanting more. Then I realized I'd been eating past fullness my whole life without knowing it. That shift, more than anything, made me think this was actually going to work. Stick with it.

The first week being water-heavy is the norm, especially with the low-carb switch. The actual fat loss rate shows in weeks 3-6 once glycogen levels settle.

Day one appetite response is more common on tirz than sema - the dual mechanism hits faster for a lot of people. Half a kilo weekly is a reliable pace that holds better than faster starts because the metabolic baseline stays stable underneath it.

End-of-week appetite creep is the standard signal that the dose hasn't fully locked in yet - most people find it normalizes by week 4-6, and the ones who don't usually benefit from splitting the dose into twice-weekly injections rather than bumping the amount.

First week side effects are often the worst it gets - the body adjusts over the following weeks and most people find week three or four looks very different. Hanging in is the right call at this stage.
