went hard and fast as possible—low protein, low calorie—and dropped 230 lbs over 18 months with no regrets. I might be lucky but I got nothing but health wins. if I did it again I'd add more protein and exercise sooner, but I'd go just as hard.
Anyone else see all these "GLP-1 Friendly" frozen meals popping up? Cool label but what does it even mean? Smaller portion? That's it? There's zero regulation on that term—anyone can slap it on anything. When you're eating less on this stuff, every bite has to count harder for nutrition. Gotta actually read the box.
tried oa, weight watchers, willpower. nothing stuck til mounjaro. stopped for 3 weeks thinking i was 'cured', started gaining back immediately. had to tell myself to treat it like diabetes - this is forever and i'm okay w/ that.
High protein Ensure is one of the better options for the 'nothing goes down' phase - liquid protein tolerates the altered gastric environment better than solids, and 30g per serving is a meaningful contribution when you're not getting much through regular food.
Protein absorption tends to work better in solid form than liquid when nausea is a factor - the shake can make queasiness worse in some cases. Greek yogurt or cottage cheese usually sit better than a liquid load first thing. Spreading smaller amounts across more windows tends to work better than hitting large targets in one or two sittings.
