Nothin' tastes good! Help!

went hard and fast as possible—low protein, low calorie—and dropped 230 lbs over 18 months with no regrets. I might be lucky but I got nothing but health wins. if I did it again I'd add more protein and exercise sooner, but I'd go just as hard.

Anyone else see all these "GLP-1 Friendly" frozen meals popping up? Cool label but what does it even mean? Smaller portion? That's it? There's zero regulation on that term—anyone can slap it on anything. When you're eating less on this stuff, every bite has to count harder for nutrition. Gotta actually read the box.

tried oa, weight watchers, willpower. nothing stuck til mounjaro. stopped for 3 weeks thinking i was 'cured', started gaining back immediately. had to tell myself to treat it like diabetes - this is forever and i'm okay w/ that.

High protein Ensure is one of the better options for the 'nothing goes down' phase - liquid protein tolerates the altered gastric environment better than solids, and 30g per serving is a meaningful contribution when you're not getting much through regular food.

Protein absorption tends to work better in solid form than liquid when nausea is a factor - the shake can make queasiness worse in some cases. Greek yogurt or cottage cheese usually sit better than a liquid load first thing. Spreading smaller amounts across more windows tends to work better than hitting large targets in one or two sittings.

The texture-driven food selection approach is underrated for GLP-1 compliance - when gastric sensitivity is texture-specific, finding what actually works and anchoring on it beats forcing variety. Greek yogurt hitting 30g is a clean breakfast foundation that doesn't fight the medication.

Blended drinks with veggies, fruit, and protein powder work great. Toss in some ice cubes and it's honestly perfect for hot weather.

Find yourself a safe food. Mine's cucumber salad, though pickle texture wasn't my thing so I dunk plain cucumber pieces into the brine when the full salad feels like too much effort.

Try sipping bone broth or picking at some protein-rich cheese. Toast and saltines alone just aren't giving you enough to work with.

Some good ideas floating in this thread, might actually use a few. I usually just knock out my whole protein goal from powder alone and that gets old fast. One trick if the taste isn't your thing is blending it into something else, I go with oatmeal plus some fruit mixed in (a little yogurt helps too if you're watching carbs). Do that twice daily plus some chicken, beef, or fish, and hitting 100g protein a day becomes pretty manageable.
