Down 60+ lbs!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
60+ lbs from summer '25 is a strong semaglutide result. The sweet craving at 2.5mg when you already dislike sweets is a known pattern at that dose range - the leptin and appetite signaling can temporarily produce cravings for things outside your normal intake as the system recalibrates. Usually resolves as the dose settles or goes up.

35 pounds before stopping because of the side effects is still a real result. The constant nausea and constipation reason for stopping comes up more than people expect. Has the weight stayed off since coming off it?

80 lbs at 1.0mg weekly through a full year of low calorie and hard protein is the patient approach done all the way through to maintenance. The OP at 60+ from a 'never thought I'd post this' start is the same trajectory earlier in the journey. What did the maintenance transition look like and what dose are you on now?

the aversion to the foods that caused nausea is one of the more lasting rewiring effects - when a specific food triggers a strong GI response, the brain logs that association and the craving for that food often doesn't come back even after the medication effect fades. 60 lbs and a reset food baseline is a compound win

Filled in my mother, my spouse, and the kids who still live under our roof. Got started on this after some worrying lab results surfaced earlier this year. My health was heading downhill and I felt desperate for something to shift. Began semaglutide and today the total loss sits at 48 lbs. BMI's fallen from 36 down to 28.7 across just three months, and I'm honestly looking forward to fresh bloodwork soon. Friends and family who've spotted the physical shift have also caught onto the changes in how I eat and live day to day. Whenever the weight comes up in conversation, my usual response is a smile and a quick 'appreciate you noticing,' and that's typically where I leave things. Prefer keeping the full medication list private, so make of that what you will. Even my spouse and mother recently decided to start the same treatment after watching how well it's worked for me.

Having access to semaglutide at eighteen could've spared decades of struggle. Genuinely, there's nothing left to lose here except that lingering obsession and the extra weight. Feeling better is deserved. Bringing this up with a doctor and moving forward with it seems worth doing.

Wine intake dropped off noticeably too, and now, roughly a year and a half later, there's been almost no desire for a drink in close to twelve months.

Turns out to be one of those cases people call a strong responder, and the weight was coming off faster than wanted, though giving up the other benefits wasn't appealing either.

So the amount got scaled way back, to about .05 every ten days, mainly to stabilize things and put a little weight back on while still keeping the effects that mattered.
