Stopping Retatrutide, Semaglutide, or Tirzepatide

Three months running reta now and honestly things couldn't be going better. Down seven kilos already, staying on target with calories and protein, and getting in five weekly gym sessions plus extra cardio. Everything feels dialed in at the moment. That said, I'm curious what lies ahead once these injections eventually stop, whichever compound ends up being involved. A few things I'd genuinely love input on. Hunger, so many accounts describe it roaring back with a vengeance until food consumes your thinking, did that match your reality, and just how strong did that pull get? Stopping method, cold turkey versus a gradual taper or spacing shots further apart? Keeping the weight off, is that holding steady these days or has some crept back? Curious how much time has passed since stopping and what that adjustment period actually looked like. Appreciate any insight!

Personally went with a low tirz amount for maintenance to manage food noise, planning to stay on it long term given the difference it's made day to day. Solid approach once close to goal, ease the dose down and find the smallest amount that still holds weight steady. Some space doses further apart instead as a taper method. Switching from reta to tirz might be worth considering too since it tends to sit easier for some. Tirz has shown extra health perks beyond just weight, so not much downside there. Wouldn't be surprised if reta shows similar things eventually. Whatever route taken, map out where this should go over time, regain after stopping cold is common, and what comes back isn't always just fat.

Same thing here. This is round two on sema since I regained everything plus more after stopping the first time. Given how much it helps with my PCOS specifically, I think this is a lifelong medication for me at this point. Once I hit my target weight though, I'm planning to taper down to the smallest weekly amount just for maintenance.

I'm a guy in my mid-20s. Took this from mid-2024 through mid-2025 and dropped a huge amount of weight. After stopping, the weight crept back up steadily, and regardless of what I tried, even aggressive dieting, I couldn't shake those extra kilos. Did manage a small amount of progress over a couple months but was genuinely miserable the whole time. Restarted less than three weeks ago and I'm already back near my lowest weight. Based on my own experience, I really don't think this is purely about calories in versus calories out. This medication clearly does something more for my body than diet alone ever managed. Worth watching how your own body responds once you're off, but it's worth considering that for some of us, this might just be the reality.
