Kinda slow loss. Anyone else?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Consistency without dramatic swings is underappreciated compared to fast loss stories - the same steady drop every month compounds across a year into a significant total. If the scale is going in the right direction at your current dose, the patience to hold is the correct call.

the stay-if-it-is-working advice before escalating is the practical version of the clinical guidance that gets applied in practice more than the official dose increase schedule suggests - moving up before the current dose has reached its full effect adds variables without providing better information. the hunger-and-stall signal rather than the calendar is the right indicator for when to escalate

Hey, dealing with Hashimoto's here too, progress has come way slower and steadier than what most people describe, long plateau stretches included. Don't let it get you down.

Lost weight really, really slowly. Currently maintaining a loss of 84 pounds. 56 years old, no botox or fillers involved, that's honestly all natural aging.

First month I dropped 2kg, by seven months on 2.5mg I'd hit 10kg total, and now a year in I'm at 15kg, just bumped the dose to 5mg recently.
I think you're just getting discouraged comparing a totally normal pace of loss against everyone else's.

Hear you completely, same journey here. Lost a solid chunk since the start of the year and it's crawling along. Still got a long way left, ideally. Some people describe theirs melting off. Hasn't been my reality at all. Real effort's gone into every pound. Eating clean, doing pilates a few times weekly. And while the medication cut my appetite, that total absence of food noise some describe just isn't happening for me. Not yet anyway, not at the dose I'm on. Trying to inch the dose up gradually and hold each level as long as possible since it's a long road and everything's coming out of pocket. Probably moving up again soon though.

Only advice is reminding myself that gradual loss was the goal I set from the start. Takes more patience, sure, but it holds up better over the long haul, which matters most. Plus no excess skin to deal with. Just keep at it.

Started at 87kg with a target of 62kg. Side effects have been mild, occasional stomach tenderness that passes on its own. Was genuinely nervous about self-injecting at first and needed my mom there for support through the first three shots, but got comfortable enough to handle it solo after that.

Also hadn't managed to lose weight in years, dealing with Hashimoto's and insulin resistance on top of weight gained from having a baby, plus chronic pain. Did your doctor check your thyroid?

Haven't been able to fit in workouts either, it's usually already 9pm before I have any real chance and by then I'm running on empty. Going to try anyway though. Down 7kg in under two months so far.
