This med's a total game changer!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
One year on semaglutide and I'm down over 100 pounds! Started at 325, now I'm 219. It hasn't always been easy. But, remembering to put my health first was everything.

I think that's really key. I realized I had stopped liking myself and I was making bad choices as a result. Hope I can get where you are!

Counterintuitive as it sounds, this actually works in practice. Maintaining insulin responsiveness while ramping up carb intake through growth hormone use really shifts the game. I'm three weeks into a surplus and nowhere near as bloated as I'd typically expect.

Eating about 1450–1500 calories a day. 11 months in, down 65 on Tirz. Weight loss has slowed—technically should eat under 1350 for a pound a week but even with meds I can't go under 1500. Got down to 200 before over the years but always got stuck and gained it back. Probably going to bump my dose to keep moving.

20 lbs in 14 weeks on Mounjaro is the dual GIP/GLP-1 mechanism doing what the clinical trials showed - the GIP component adds to the GLP-1 appetite effect in a way most people describe as the noise dropping faster than expected.

Same experience here - Mounjaro was a different thing from previous attempts. The side effect profile difference between it and others was real enough that it changed what was tolerable. 14 weeks in and 20 lbs is excellent.

Yep, cut caffeine out entirely and it made a massive difference for me. Never once connected that shift to mounjaro, so interesting to hear! Will work on upping protein, honestly I don't get nearly enough since I'm burnt out on egg whites and whey powder just leaves me bloated, plus with how expensive everything's gotten I sometimes can't even swing real meat.

Absolutely terrified, yes. Put off starting for a full year while my A1C sat at 9.5 and Metformin had stopped doing anything. My doctor finally said insulin was next, something I'd always sworn I'd avoid. Decided to give Mounjaro a shot instead. Twenty months in now. Best medication I've ever taken, hands down. Dealt with queasiness, rotten-egg burps, and occasional constipation along the way. Dropped 57 pounds total. Standing 5'6", started at 197, now sitting at 140, and my A1C reads 5.4. My cholesterol used to run sky-high too, first time in two decades it's actually normal. Just go for it, you won't regret the decision.

Good to know. My most recent A1C landed at 6.9, running a bit above where yours sits. My doctor mentioned Mounjaro tends to work better, so I'm eager to get going. Heading overseas next month, so currently tapering off Ozempic (should take about five weeks to fully clear my system), then starting Mounjaro once I'm back. Hoping for the best!

This has honestly reshaped everything for me, not just on the weight front, but for insulin sensitivity too (Type 1 diabetic since childhood).

Was creeping toward needing a genuinely wild quantity of long-acting insulin just to hold steady numbers. My per-hour basal requirement has fallen roughly 70% on Mounjaro, maybe further, no matter what I'm eating. Feels like my mid-40s body suddenly started running like it belongs to someone in their early 20s.

Running this since December 2024, went from 294 pounds down to 197, holding that steady for about five months now. Currently at 12.5.

Can't picture returning to how things were before this. Feeling better than I have in at least fifteen years. Helped my T1D-related pain, sleep quality, intimacy, skin, and even eased a few bad habits along the way. Would recommend without hesitation. Side effects felt scary early on, but I adjusted within a couple months, and honestly only really noticed them stepping up to 5 and 7.5. Barely any side effects at all now and haven't for a long while.

Would also strongly suggest not rushing the dose increases, and hav
