GLP-1s: Overeating vs. "Food Noise"

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The thing about glp1 is that even wanting to binge doesn't really work out physically. Used to cycle through yo-yo dieting, binging, sometimes purging too. Try pushing past that point on glp1 and your body basically forces it back up. Not sure this holds true for everyone, and I don't think it erases food noise entirely. But it does make things better in a roundabout way, since bingeing just isn't really an option anymore, and you know attempting it comes with consequences.

Welcome!! Studies suggest roughly 94% of people using GLP-1 treatment notice improvement with binge eating patterns, and plenty describe that quieter mental chatter around eating as the single biggest change they've noticed. Wishing you well heading into tomorrow :)

That reads like someone who's never dealt with constant food chatter. Managed my entire weight loss without GLPs and kept it off, would have continued that way too. Adding Tirz genuinely upgraded my day-to-day life though. Went from constantly battling food noise to just eating healthily without the nonstop worry about hunger.

But I'm guessing this explanation's wasted breath. Honestly can't tell if you're just stirring the pot or if your takes are legitimately this off on nearly every topic. Probably some combination of both.

Main takeaway: these medications appear to deliver the strongest results when overeating stems from external triggers or reward-driven eating (that constant food chatter), and less effectively when overeating traces back mainly to stress or emotions. Personally I fall into the first category, and the effect kicked in within hours of my very first dose at 0.25mg. Feels like the medication gives me that extra push to stay on track with food choices. Before, restricting calories meant a nonstop battle against my own cravings. This has largely silenced that chatter and lets me eat until satisfied rather than stuffed. Then I just... stop. Genuinely wild.
