Down a HUGE Amount!

10kg in 3 months with PCOS and insulin resistance is actually a solid result even when it feels slow compared to the OP's numbers. The OP went from 313 to 212 which is a much higher starting weight - the rate of loss scales with starting BMI. What dose are you on and have you moved up since the start?

100 lbs is the kind of number that changes how you carry yourself in the world - 313 to 212 is a completely different physical experience. The mental space of where you were before gets genuinely hard to access once you've been in the new one long enough. That's actually a good sign.

Genuinely inspiring stuff, Octo. I've got a long road ahead too, similar to where you started, and reading this is great for my confidence. Must feel incredible compared to how things were before, I want that feeling for myself too! Great work!!

Used to have wildly irregular cycles and brutal pain whenever they finally arrived, felt like being stabbed for hours straight. Since starting mounjaro? They show up every four weeks now with barely any discomfort at all. Losing weight's great, but skipping that monthly dread and getting through those days without being sidelined? Worth everything.

Also battled brutal arm acne for fifteen years straight. Vanished by month two!

And honestly, I can look in the mirror now without spiraling into self-hate. Depression and social anxiety aren't gone, but somehow they feel more manageable these days. Three months in with 15 kg gone so far (still have 70kg ahead, taking it slowly!)

Hi!

Still pretty new here, but I've run into this too, extreme heat combined with the medication really does a number on me. Everyone else loves summer, I've honestly never been a fan. Nothing new for me there.

I dropped my main dose down and added a small amount of a second compound because training just wasn't happening anymore, dead serious.

Is there something that genuinely lights you up? For me that's playing music, hitting the dance floor, and time with my pup. Lean harder into whatever that thing is for you, even if the motivation isn't there at the outset. Just give it an honest try, please.

I'm no expert by any means. I've been through severe depression myself and understand where you're at, but please don't throw in the towel. Not yet.

Keep your protein up, take branched-chain aminos (this hormone shows zero mercy), and even when carbs like fruit or potatoes seem unappealing, eat them anyway.

Getting outside for a walk and just being present helps me too. Sunlight resets your internal clock.

Know this all sounds pretty basic, but I really do want to lift your spirits here. Wishing you good energy.

This medication has completely changed everything. Not only is a substantial amount gone, halfway to the goal, but food noise has gone completely silent, no more little voice pushing to eat more or eat specific things, and even the gut issues have resolved, finally! Latest bloodwork came back perfect across the board too, with cholesterol dropping significantly. Eating habits are dialed in. Does the topic come up with others? Absolutely. This has been nothing short of life changing.
