7 Months on Mounjaro - My Story

Hong Kong Yanpep International
6 lbs on Ozempic over 6 months and then 22 in 4 months on Mounjaro is the dual-mechanism story in numbers. some people just don't respond to sema the same way and the GIP angle changes the whole picture. ya know what, 62F at 189 toward 35-40 down is a perfectly reasonable goal and 22 already is more than halfway there.

Yes, spent six months on Mounjaro. Began at 90kg and dropped to 70kg. Been off it now for six months and currently sit at 63kg, meaning I've actually continued losing, another 7kg gone since stopping.

Worth mentioning upfront that my original weight gain mostly came from snacking. Never really been someone who eats enormous portions or cleans their plate. But full-sugar soda was practically a five-times-daily habit for me, and I got through plenty of chocolate and chips too. So constant grazing and sugary drinks drove it more than oversized meals ever did.

Stopping Mounjaro genuinely scared me at first. My immediate thoughts were something like 'the hunger's coming back' and 'all this weight's returning.' Feels like we're almost conditioned to expect automatic regain once you stop, and some research does support weight coming back after discontinuing.

All that mental spiraling really got to me, and I did put on roughly 5kg after quitting. Then, after a month off, went back to a 5mg shot, huge mistake lol. What followed was awful anxiety that l

Male here, very similar story, just couldn't shift it no matter how much cardio and resistance work I put in. Endocrinologist pointed to insulin resistance and suggested mounjaro. First month, down 6kg on just 2.5mg. It also cut my hunger further, dropped me from around 2100 calories down to 1200-1500. Sticking with the lower dose and still seeing it come off, so hoping you get a similar result.

Yep! Just wrapped four weeks on 7.5mg. First time ever dealing with nausea and that overly-full feeling. Barely touched food during that stretch. Now on week five at the same 7.5mg and hunger's back in a big way. Eating through every meal, staying balanced of course, but yeah, genuinely hungry with real cravings. Thirteen weeks total on Mounjaro now, roughly 9-10kg gone.

2.5 and 5 gave me nothing, no side effects, no real scale movement.

My_Pal Full honesty: seven months on Mounjaro, then I quit after a B12 deficiency left me wiped out. I paused for 34 days, then restarted. Only after stopping could I eat proper, satisfying meals again, such as a Brazilian churrasco place. Friday's 2.5 shot means my appetite is smaller again. Candy between meals is out, it makes me gassy and kills my hunger. Eating became enjoyable again, that's how it goes. On Mounjaro I ate very well but never 'with my eyes'. Snacking and overeating get tougher, so getting hyped about food is rarer.

Ive pinned mounjaro for 28 weeks. My first dose was 2.5 mg weekly, then 4 weeks later went to 5mg and stayed put, always on day 7. Start weight 101kg, now 78 kg. I always felt hunger noise on day 6, but never a big deal. Even with it I couldnt eat noticeably more than on other days. Instead of splitting my dose I split my portions on day 6. Splitting the dose is totally unnecessary in my view.
