Rapid reta dose escalation caused headache, high blood pressure, and arm tingling

Hong Kong Yanpep International
EDIT: seriously, do not copy what happened here, get an actual plan with a doctor, run bloodwork, use basic common sense. This was a dumb move and it's completely avoidable.

Decided to make the jump toward reta, had been stacking tirz at 5mg with 1.5mg reta and just went for it, straight to 4mg reta in one shot instead of the planned slow titration.
A couple hours later, slight tiredness set in, then some warmth, then a headache started building, blood pressure came back elevated, not alarmingly, pulse ran a touch high, and there was a faint tingling in one arm.

Next day both readings were back to normal, actually lower than usual, and the scale showed a couple pounds less.

Diabetic here, and fasting glucose had been trending lower on 5mg tirz, but these past few days on reta alone it's crept back up somewhat.

Going back to the original plan, glucose management matters more right now, aiming for 5mg tirz alongside 4mg reta and watching what happens from there.

Currently at 5mg tirz and added a midweek 0.5mg of reta the past couple weeks, and last night was rough, woke up somewhere between 2 and 4am with my pulse racing and a headache, suspecting it's glucose related, sometimes hits midday too. Never had this with tirz alone. Also running a few other peptides alongside it but leaning toward reta being the culprit here. Hoping things settle down over the coming week, holding steady at 0.5 until it does. Will report back.

Interesting, I noticed something similar this past week, my Tirz has had my resting pulse running above normal, hovering near 70 versus my usual 55-65 range. Read through this whole discussion last night and decided to check my own blood pressure, landed at 99/60. Had my husband test his too since he's maxed out on his blood pressure prescription already, and his came back 106/70. Told him we'll be watching this closely, his dosage might need to come down given the combined effect of Tirz plus the weight coming off.

Mine has been up and down since starting reta. I normally sit around 120/72, but some mornings it's 135/80. I'm drinking plenty and keeping electrolytes up, to check whether that calms it.

Really enjoying following along since I'm basically on the identical path, early forties, gym-active, standing somewhat taller and carrying more weight than you, and definitely lacking your resting heart rate. Mine typically sits around 60 but honestly cardio's never been my strong suit.

First injection landed Sunday, so roughly four days in now. Weekdays are simple since I travel for work and pack all my food, making intermittent fasting easy to stick with. Definitely second-guessed whether it was doing anything early on since normal hunger signals were still showing up, but I do a sixteen-hour fasting window, so chalked it up to Reta not completely erasing hunger cues, plus I only ran 0.5mg the opening week planning to step up to 1mg next.

Noticed I actually pushed harder at the gym too, sweat came easier, hit lifts I typically wouldn't touch. Not sure if the extra effort's real or just placebo from 'well I'm injecting myself, might as well go all out.'

Starting point read 92.2kg on our questionable bathroom scale Monday morning (right after a food and drink-heavy weekend away), and this morning it showed 89.3kg. Genuinely the first time dipping under 90kg in about fifteen years
