EDIT: seriously, do not copy what happened here, get an actual plan with a doctor, run bloodwork, use basic common sense. This was a dumb move and it's completely avoidable.
Decided to make the jump toward reta, had been stacking tirz at 5mg with 1.5mg reta and just went for it, straight to 4mg reta in one shot instead of the planned slow titration.
A couple hours later, slight tiredness set in, then some warmth, then a headache started building, blood pressure came back elevated, not alarmingly, pulse ran a touch high, and there was a faint tingling in one arm.
Next day both readings were back to normal, actually lower than usual, and the scale showed a couple pounds less.
Diabetic here, and fasting glucose had been trending lower on 5mg tirz, but these past few days on reta alone it's crept back up somewhat.
Going back to the original plan, glucose management matters more right now, aiming for 5mg tirz alongside 4mg reta and watching what happens from there.
