Doctor had to switch me from Rybelsus to the Ozempic pill and my cost more than doubled

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Anyone else run into this before? Rybelsus got prescribed originally for diabetes management, and the weight drop turned out to be a fantastic bonus on top. The most recent refill got frozen, and word came back that ozempic was now the required prescription instead. The old pill ran a 14mg strength, the new one's just 9mg, and somehow a three month supply climbed from $85 up to $193.

Hi so I'd been taking the oral form at 7.5 mg per tablet, stepped up from 3mg pills, and lost 26 pounds down from 204. Then the manufacturer rebranded that pill under a different name, and the only available 7.5 mg equivalent is now labeled as 4 mg under the new name. Let my doctor know I don't think it's working the same, so she bumped me up to what used to be the 14.5 mg strength under the old naming, so we'll see how that goes. She was initially hesitant to prescribe at all but seems more open now. I'm prediabetic with high blood pressure, early heart disease, and a fatty liver. My Medicare drug plan is covering this based on those diagnoses.
Hoping the increase helps, but if it doesn't, I might take the leap and ask about switching to a completely different medication entirely, the one that's specifically approved and NOT the one linked to obesity-related health concerns, right? Also dealing with constipation, taking two to three stool softeners daily along with prebiotics, flax crackers, and fruit. Trying to stay on top of water intake too. Wouldn't mind self-injecting if it came to that, but I've heard that option might eventually come in pill form too. Might just wait and reassess once I hit my deductible at year's end, and bring up switching then if needed.

Rybelsus got discontinued, so I attempted to switch to the Ozempic pill. Rybelsus cost $50 a month and Ozempic is $100 a month. I can't afford that, and I'm frustrated.

On Rybelsus 7mg, I wait 2 hours before food every time, and it works well: 204 pounds down to 174. Rybelsus is now swapped for ozempic pills, and the new one is teeny and goes down with one small sip, which delights me. Waiting longer seems to shrink my appetite further, so I keep protein up. I'm on the 4mg ozempic dose, the equivalent of Rybelsus 7mg, curious whether the new formula changes anything. On Medicare with plan D the cost has dropped way down. My reasons are medical: pre diabetes, obese by BMI, fatty liver, hypertension, and heart trouble in the family. Does coverage extend to Wegovy or Mounjaro too? My dr hesitates to switch me to injections since the pill gets results. Suggestions please, thank you.
