GLP-1 not working for me?!?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Honestly my telehealth sema feels padded? Laced? Not sure what word fits, but it does nothing compared with other glp1s. I raised the dose and still see no effect. It's like injecting saline or something.

You might need a different GLP1. Ozempic was a no for me since it made my skin burn like fire, yet Mounjaro has been trouble-free.

Your prescriber can also give you ondansetron, metoclopramide or anything else that helps. Why not ask? Why let yourself suffer?

Sema was a bust for me: constipation from hell, fatigue, and the scale never moved. Then Zepbound, which is Mounjaro under another name, worked great with much milder side effects. It only started paying off big once I got to 7.5mg.

That's rough for your friend. Agree with the take that some people just don't respond to these meds, I've read figures putting it as high as one in ten who just don't respond. Sounds like she's already run through a bunch of combos though. Has she specifically tried semaglutide? It's known for having the strongest appetite suppression of the main three. Had someone in my circle dealing with binge eating disorder, never got close enough to know the full outcome, but she got referred to a bariatric specialist for medication management of it. Can't say more since I don't actually know more, but might be worth her looking into that route. Really hope she finds something that works, and credit to her for getting this far without any medication help at all.
