Weight loss stalled. Help!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Nothing budged for me until I hit 7.5mg, stuck around there roughly three months. Bumped to 10mg after that and basically saw zero movement, hit a wall completely. Now sitting on 12.5mg since February and pushing myself to stick with it even though I'm stalling again. Not eager to jump to 15mg since there's nowhere left to climb after that.

Honestly in the same boat. Started in January, 12kg total lost. Hit my lowest weight about a month back and haven't really tracked since, since every check has shown a slight uptick. Probably two weeks since I last got on the scale. Been at 7.5mg for close to two months, and my diet could definitely be better. First taking a dose I barely feel hungry at all, so I barely eat over the next couple days, then hunger builds back up gradually until by day five I feel like I haven't eaten in ages. Pretty sure I know exactly what I'm doing wrong and how to correct it, just need to actually follow through to see the results.

Just wanted to say this isn't a solo struggle. Dealing with the identical situation here, and it's genuinely frustrating and expensive. Paying entirely out of pocket. Only down a small amount over several months. Held at a smaller amount for four months, then a slightly higher one for a month, same result both times. Ready to move up but the doctor's been extremely cautious about it. Going to try the next level up, and if that still doesn't move the needle, guessing this particular medication just isn't the right fit.

Going through this exact thing right now. Lost around 50 pounds fairly easily the first time, then had to stop when I couldn't afford it anymore. Restarted a couple months back and it's moving way slower this time. Apparently stopping and restarting weakens how well the medication works, which I had no idea about going in, so it was frustrating until I read here that it's actually a common thing. Starting to see actual movement now that I'm nearly three months back in. From what I've gathered, real results kick in once you cross 1mg. Also heard switching over to Tirzepitide can help push through this too.

Been on since February, at 7mg for about two months now and stalled. I'm 55f with a BMI of 27. Kettlebells, swimming and walking help me rebuild the muscle that chemo took a few years ago. This could be my ceiling. I'm still hungry, but I've learned how little food my body truly requires, so I tune the hunger out. I'm on it for t2d and will check next month whether my a1c holds. If it does I expect my dr to be happy with my weight and leave the dose alone. My cancer recurrence risk is high and they say a higher weight suits me better, but my cancer feeds on estrogen so I'd like all the estrogenic fat gone. Imo it's a serious flaw of this med that tolerance builds and dosing has to climb.

Great progress already, huge numbers. I'm in the same spot, 101kgs at the start 4 months ago on 2.5mg, now 86.25kgs on 7.5mg, roughly 14.75kgs down. My weight has sat around 86-87kgs for over 2 weeks. Apparently a stall is bound to happen when your body has already lost so much and starts burning fewer calories than before. Better to compare monthly results than daily or weekly. Also, a jump to 7.5 only since the scale stopped isn't advisable when your food noise has been well controlled at 5.0. I wouldn't call it a plateau yet. If another month passes with not even a small drop, then try a higher dose. Otherwise stay at 5.0, which also spares you side effects.

It could be time to find a new doc, for this med anyway. Mine relies on my feedback and raises the dose accordingly. My increase to 5mg from 2.5 happened because by Friday or Saturday i was ravenous, and my shots are Monday evenings, meaning the dose had stopped doing enough. At present im on 5mg and havent lost anything in 2 weeks. Tomorrow morning's weigh-in will tell me if its 3 weeks running. Not convinced a bump is due yet, hunger stays managed until my next shot. If the stall goes on, I will tell my doc and request 7.5.

For me 7.5 was terrible. I lose slowly anyway thanks to all my meds and health problems, yet on 7.5 I stalled in month one then gained in month two. Now 2.5 months on 10mg and 10lbs down. I read here that many people had trouble with 7.5, so maybe you just need a higher dose.
