Ready to grow some muscle back and then some

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Been on tirz about five months now. Lost 27 pounds and would like to drop another ten. But, definitely lost some muscle along the way. Lift heavy five days weekly, have for over three decades. My lifting's taken a real hit, max output down from where it sat before starting this medication. So, need to cycle in some peptides to help rebuild muscle. Recommendations welcome please.

Also seconding that swapping tirz for reta to preserve muscle isn't backed by research.

What helps is resistance training of any kind plus higher protein, somewhere between 1.2 and 1.5g per kilo bodyweight, either target works fine.

Losing muscle during weight loss isn't ideal, but practically it rarely matters unless starting from very low muscle mass already, and most heavier people also carry more muscle, partly from overeating and partly hauling around a bigger frame. Dropping that muscle alongside fat tends to noticeably improve everyday physical function once weight comes off these meds, since a lighter body needs less muscle to move it. Dropped from 115kg to 75kg myself, obvious on hills how much easier every ten kilos lost made things, despite the muscle loss along the way.

Congrats on the weight loss!

Looking really lean these days. Was that the actual target? Ever thought about lifting to rebuild some of the muscle that came off along the way?

58 here, started ipamorelin 18 weeks back at 400mcg daily, split morning/night, after some muscle loss following my first 20kg drop. Held muscle with training, protein's always solid, just not enough alone.

No fat loss from it over 12 weeks. Hit my 77kg target meanwhile, still carried belly fat and stalled a month. Paused ipa two weeks, restarted with cjc no-dac at 350mcg daily, injected mornings before work, fasted until noon.

First week nothing. Second week on, steady weekly loss with a 2mg maintenance tirz dose plus daily ipa/cjc. Training abs daily, lifting every other day, nothing extreme, just feeling healthier.

At 74kg now. Mood's up, performance's up too, probably tied more to weight loss and training than the peptides. Lost about 3kg belly fat between stack, fasting, training.

Creatine monohydrate here. Two months or so ago I started with 5g daily, on workout days after training, and other days after breakfast, like dessert. It pulls visible water into the muscles and improves strength, which pushed me to train much harder. Then reta joined the mix, along with 2g+ protein per kg every day, and life changed. I believe in it. Definitely feeling better, though creatine covers just one piece of the puzzle. Healthy food, more training, and now -10kg (22 pounds). This is only day one of my path. Sleep is way better as well since adding an ipa+cjc (no dac) mix. Details on that peptide will go in another thread, stay tuned!

After 30 plus years of heavy lifting the muscle should return quick. At your age though i doubt CJC/Ipa does much. For me sleep improved, but Ipa made me way hungrier than before, which was its only real effect. I've trained nearly daily my entire adult life, ate well, kept a healthy BMI, and still got the same round belly by my forties, pear shape basically. Reta, Tirz and Sema were not what fixed it. My waist started shrinking after I moved to HGH, somewhere around 1-2iu a day, which seems plenty for me.

Not necessarily. My daughter dropped 100 lbs on Tirz within a little over twelve months and lost EVERY BIT of her teenage athlete strength. A year later she has regained a bit and wants a small dose once more, but this round she wants fitness gains alongside the loss, and rebuilding muscle is her priority. She may honestly want to consider reta, though I am not ready to share my new secret with her.

Lifting 3-5 days weekly with one or two cardio days is my setup. No visible muscle loss so far, knock on wood! I'm losing very slowly too. Two months on 2.5mg Tirz came first, then I added 0.5 mg increments when the current dose seemed spent, and 4.5 mg has worked well so far. Rushing the loss while ignoring food and training is how bone and muscle get lost.
