One Year of Mounjaro!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
I lost a decent amount, about fifty pounds in roughly twelve months, gently and steadily, but I'm still fat. Still, the arthritis and the vision changes both reversed, I don't get glucose spikes anymore and my a1c currently reads 5.4. It quite literally handed me my life back. A year of diet and exercise had brought my a1c to 7.0, from a diagnosis reading of 12.2. I resisted going on mounjaro, but I'm glad my doctor talked me into a trial.

Type 2 diabetes used to be my situation. The drug took 90 pounds off me and let me quit insulin, then once I learned to eat a bit healthier I could stop the Mounjaro too, and so far the weight has not returned. Food noise has mostly vanished, and I no longer stock up on junk. It felt like a miracle to me.

Mix-Good I was only barely diabetic myself, A1C sat at exactly 6.5 when I got diagnosed and started Mounjaro. Had been prediabetic for several years before that, but hadn't developed the long-term damage that comes with more advanced diabetes. Lost weight pretty easily, partly thanks to reduced hunger and partly from everything else Mounjaro made possible in terms of actually sticking to bigger lifestyle changes.

Mounjaro's been my first and only diabetes medication since December 2025. Still sitting at just 2.5mg since that dose already handles my blood sugar so well there's no real reason to climb higher. Also down 35 pounds, a little over half a pound weekly, which feels like a sustainable safe pace and I'm content with it. The blood sugar numbers matter more to me though. A1C was 7.8 in December, down to 5.5 by April. Fasting glucose sits in the mid 90s on average now.
