    From A1c 9.8 to 5.2! What a year!

I love how people on these meds are seeing HUGE improvements in their cholesterol too. Check out these charts!

    From A1c 9.8 to 5.2! What a year!

Our journeys are pretty similar! I'm also 39, and I started late March around 9 months ago. I just hit 185lbs, down from 241.

    Ozempic progress - skin issues?

That's what I'm afraid of. What kind of exercise are you doing to mitigate the skin issue?

    Ozempic progress - skin issues?

I remember reading your posts way back when about those protein snacks. Glad your still at it.

    Down 120lbs! Halfway there!

Congratulations on getting so close to your goal! I've lost about 90 lbs myself since starting. It feels amazing. It sounds like you're doing a great job already, but remember vegetables, nuts, and pulses can really help with nutrition!

Almost wedding time! 🎉 So grateful!

I've been on this for a while now, and honestly, I plan to stay on it forever if it keeps working. The cost is worth feeling like this.

Almost wedding time! 🎉 So grateful!

Same here. For the first time as an adult, I'm not constantly on some restrictive eating plan. Just...living.

Tirz and Tesa - anyone else?

I've read some warnings about taking semaglutide with hydrochlorothiazide. I'm on HCTZ for high blood pressure. Any insights?

    Coming off GLP-1s: Success!

That's good information to have! I know some people also experience irregular periods, so it's important to be aware of these potential effects.

    Coming off GLP-1s: Success!

That's fantastic! Congrats! But it does seem kinda contradictory to say you're not following any diet rules and then mention you're making an effort to stick to the same portion sizes you had while on the medication. For most people, that alone is a significant rule and a real challenge, lol.

    Coming off GLP-1s: Success!

That's my goal! I hope to shed around 80 pounds, and so far, I've dropped 30 since late January (I'm a 6'1" guy). I'm starting to understand the portion sizes I need to follow both during and after using these meds, as well as which foods to limit. Thanks for the encouragement!

    frustrated rant incoming...

I love this attitude! Focusing on how you feel and how your clothes fit is way more motivating than a number on a scale. The scale can be so misleading with water weight and everything.

    frustrated rant incoming...

Don't forget that even "just" 8 lbs a month, or 20ish in 3 months... that's still SUPER fast weight loss. Anything faster needs a doctor's supervision because there can be serious health issues (like organ problems) from losing weight too quickly. People think it's a magic fix and they can lose...

    Two Years, A New Me!

I read a post about someone getting off their meds after losing a good amount of weight. I hope they keep it off. They said that changing their eating and lifestyle gave them a much better chance of keeping the weight off. I hope that's true!

    Two Years, A New Me!

Grief requires patience. I'm happy to hear you're starting to feel better. Be proud of what you've done; your mother would be. Those we hold in our hearts are never really gone 😊
