GLP-1 side effects - new bottle woes?

Been on it since August and tolerance has been good. Mild nausea at the start, some bathroom issues, but nothing serious enough to skip doses. Glad to hear others have smooth runs too.

    Down 20lbs this month! Woot!

20 lbs is significant progress. That's usually when your clothes start to feel looser and others start noticing. I'm using sema and around that 20-pound mark, I also realized it was actually working.

    Losing weight FAST?!

Since you just started ADHD meds around the same time, your doctor might need to reduce your Wegovy dose if the rapid weight loss continues. Stimulants can also suppress your appetite, and you don't want to put too much stress on your body. Dad are you seeing the same doctor for both the Wegovy...

    Weird Places You're Getting Thin?

I've gone down a full shoe size and a half. Didn't realize your feet had that much fat!

Sema stopped working... switch to Tirz?

I think a plateau is actually pretty normal. I've been stuck at the same weight for almost two months now. At first, I was bummed, but then I realized I've lost 35 pounds and I'm not gaining it back! That's a win for me. I'm going to start tracking things more closely again to try and kickstart...

    GLP-1s making me numb?

It took me almost two full months to start feeling like myself again. The emotional blunting gradually faded, and I feel completely normal now.

    Weird Places You're Getting Thin?

It's wild, isn't it? I'm noticing new veins popping out in my hands, arms, and even legs. I've been donating blood for years, and it was always a struggle to find a good vein. Now, the nurses have plenty to choose from! I'm loving my visible veins! 😊

    Vision probs on Reta?

Were you using a GLP-1 before starting Reta? Just curious, I don't really have any other thoughts. I guess I can add that when I first started Sema, my vision felt a little wobbly sometimes. It didn't last long and seems to be a common side effect.

Anyone else get grossed out by food on sema?

Yes! Stress definitely affects how well GLP-1s work. When cortisol goes up, it can counteract the medication's effects. Ashwagandha is great for managing cortisol. Some people also take adaptogen blends that include stuff like rhodiola and holy basil for stress. Also, magnesium glycinate before...

    Quadruple threat or vaporware?

Technically, they're legal to buy for *research* purposes, but not legal for personal use. But that's where the "loophole" comes in...

Anyone else get grossed out by food on sema?

Yup! Texture issues are real. Soft foods were a no-go for a while. For others, it's yogurt, oatmeal, just mushy stuff in general. Go for cold or crunchy things. Frozen grapes, rice cakes, ice-cold protein shakes. Something about the texture and temperature makes it easier to eat when everything...

Weight loss without exercise on GLP-1's?

I agree with JuiceSet664 about muscle loss. It's important to prioritize muscle retention. Also, I think people should still exercise even if they're losing weight without it. Ross Arena, PhD says these new meds shouldn't be the only approach. another forum

    Quadruple threat or vaporware?

I agree that making press releases to drum up investment is a pretty common tactic. I would be a bit surprised if their "pie in the sky" results continue throughout the rest of the trials.

    GLP-1 Insurance Woes in '26?

I go to a weight loss clinic that's in network with my insurance, and they prescribe a compounded formula. It’s much cheaper.

Anyone else get grossed out by food on sema?

I've always enjoyed cooking and browsing through recipes. For years, I've prepped nutritious meals each week. But ever since starting on a pretty low dose about a month ago, I don't want to cook or even open a cookbook. Yesterday I just ate a handful of potato chips for lunch. Any healthy foods...

Weight loss without exercise on GLP-1's?

I did lose weight, but you still need to work out. These medications aren’t magic. Don’t just sit around.

    GLP-1 Insurance Woes in '26?

I'm on Medicaid, and they covered it for weight loss for a while, but now they don't cover any GLP-1 at all if it's for weight loss.
