Down 2 years, still going strong!

I've been on this GLP-1 journey for a little over a year and I've dropped about 70 pounds. Seeing posts like this keeps me going!

    Mounjaro: A Year-Long Ride

Hey, slow progress is STILL progress! Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone's body is different. The important thing is you're moving in the right direction.

    Mounjaro: A Year-Long Ride

Thanks DropDad! I didn't have much nausea, thankfully. Some people get hit hard, but I was pretty lucky in that regard. Just the burps and constipation, mostly.

    Mounjaro: A Year-Long Ride

Okay, get ready for a long one. I'm kinda writing this for myself but also for anyone thinking about trying this out. Short version: it went well! :) The Deets Back in November '24, I decided to get serious and start walking. I was diagnosed with type 2 back in '22 and honestly hadn't done...

My closet feels like a store now!

Yeah, I'm curious about that too! What worked for you?

My closet feels like a store now!

Way to go! I'm down about 85 pounds so far. I tell everyone I'm just 'renting' clothes until I hit my goal weight. I buy from thrift stores and get them altered, then donate them back when they're too big. I kept a few old things for motivation on bad days. Keep it up!

My closet feels like a store now!

Trying on smaller clothes is the BEST feeling! When they get too big, bag 'em up for donation. No looking back! They're not coming back! 😊

    Reta making anyone super thirsty?

I've pretty much doubled my water intake since starting Reta. But that also diluted my electrolytes. My sodium got scary low. I'm limiting my water now which gives me dry mouth but seems to be working. It got worse with higher doses, and eating less didn't help. Maybe lowering the dose would...

    Reta making anyone super thirsty?

Thirst wasn't a huge issue for me, but I did find myself dehydrated (according to my fancy scale) when I increased too quickly and wasn't mindful of my fluid intake.

    Down 65 lbs. Feeling Amazing!

That's a good point! I'm trying to be extra careful about getting enough nutrients. Protein shakes have been a lifesaver.

    Down 65 lbs. Feeling Amazing!

Picture from September 2024! I was in a stress-eating phase around 240 lbs, lost maybe 35 pounds on my own, then started sema. That's how I looked back then... pretty crazy. Sorry for the weird crop job, had to cut my sister out, haha.

    Anyone still using Lipo-C?

How long have you been on Mounjaro and what dose are you using? Are you staying on maintenance or planning to stop?

    Down 65 lbs. Feeling Amazing!

I'm happier than ever! I remember lurking on here seeking motivation during those first couple months when I barely saw any change. I went from basically a size 16 to a size 4, which still feels crazy. To anyone just starting, keep at it! Be proud of yourselves for prioritizing your well-being...

    Tirz vial recon jitters!

I've dabbled in both too. Agree it can be a long game, and the effects are more subtle versus direct replacement. Keep your expectations realistic and you might be pleasantly surprised... or at least not disappointed!

    Tirz vial recon jitters!

Just average the three numbers they gave you. Even if they're all a bit different, the overall result should be around 24mg in your vial.

I always run these calculations through an AI tool too, just to be extra sure.

Tirz plateau - what should RS do next?

Would you stick with 6mg next week and sit there for a bit, or would dropping back to 4 or 5 make more sense to you?
