Hit a plateau - anyone else?

Yeah, 10 lbs in 4 months and then a hard stall at the max available dose is the wall that makes people switch. Switching to Mounjaro at that point makes sense - the GIP receptor angle gives a different mechanism rather than just pushing the same pathway harder.

My clothes are too big! (happy dance)

Size 16 to 6 is the kind of result that shows up in the body before the scale even reflects it fully. The OP's August start and October results is a faster timeline than most people expect. How long did the dose take to get to where the real movement started?

Real food on 1.7mg - what do YOU eat?

The reduction in appetite cues is the mechanism but what actually gets eaten in that smaller window matters a lot for energy and muscle retention. People who just eat less of everything tend to plateau faster than people who prioritize protein in the smaller portions. What does the actual food...

    Super scared newb here lol

the v1 reliability concern is real - the smaller form factor is appealing but when you are new to the protocol and not totally confident in the mechanism, having something that works predictably every time matters more than the ergonomics. once the injection routine is comfortable, revisiting...

    Who knows about your GLP-1?

Yeah, the years of internalized messaging about weight making it easier to just say lifestyle changes is such a real dynamic. The people who share openly tend to have a specific reason for it and it is okay to not be there yet. Keeping it between the people who need to know works for a lot of...

    Lost 100+ lbs!

100 lbs down after 746 days of daily effort is a different kind of accomplishment than getting there in 12 months. the consistency of the walk and the calorie tracking that long is harder than people give it credit for. you can feel the weight of what it took in how you wrote about it. really...

    Body image after weight loss?

The brain takes a while to catch up to what the mirror shows. Lots of people hit goal and still feel like they look the same - it syncs up over time. You've done the work.

    My jeans now fit! 🎉

That moment when the old jeans close again is one of the best early milestones on this whole journey. Twenty-four pounds in two months is moving fast - make sure protein is high and you're doing some resistance work to preserve what you've built. The body dysmorphia piece is real too; your brain...

    Just starting out... your advice?

Don't rush the dose increases. Counterintuitive when you want results, but letting your body adjust keeps the side effects manageable. I was on the starting dose for almost three months before going up, and that patience paid off. Protein from day one - 100g or more daily. Water. The scale will...

    High endotoxins in my NAD+?

Some people on this forum are injecting this stuff IV. Probably not a great idea. Raises questions about sterility, and injecting endotoxins IV has to be way worse than sub-q. I don't think anything outside of proper sterile manufacturing is safe for IV use.

    Mounjaro changed my life!

For me mounjaro just changed everything about how i move through the day. The appetite thing alone is wild, but its so much more than that. food just doesn't have the same pull it used to and that mental shift has been the biggest thing for me honestly.

    Crazy appetite suppression?!

For me these intense pulls happen when I'm not eating enough, skipping meals, wrong food types, and/or my digestion tanks. Make sure you're having little balanced meals throughout, being proactive even with suppressed hunger. I used homemade shakes with cottage cheese base at first to get past...

    Down a clothing size already!

Consistent weight training is key for holding muscle and bone while losing. Protein matters but it's not everything. Used to be fanatic about it pre-glp-1, now I can't stomach as much. Trying to be kind to myself. Still making gym gains.

Lilly vs. Compound Pharmacies - uh oh!

Insurance won't cover mine but my doc called it into a local compounding place instead. Comes to about $40 a week which I figure I save that in coffee and takeout anyway. Lots of people order from places like Brello or Pomegranate online for about the same.

    Weight training for complete noobs?

You're doing it all right but something's missing - diet, exercise, GLP protocol. Have you thought about TRT? Recovery is key. Might be that, not more work, just faster healing.

    Leftover doses - anyone else?

happened fast for me too. on the 2.5 starter dose i'd get hungrier toward the end of the week, but food noise came back after my next shot. as you go up in dose it gets smoother.

Last Mounjaro dose 🥲 Switching meds?

Hit a plateau on Ozempic since November. Endocrinologist says it's normal after a few months. She's switching me to Mounjaro in June to kick things going again. Just keep talking to your doc about it.
