    Mounjaro: Still working after stopping?

Lost my insurance access, stopped for 3 months. restarting weight loss has been messy, not a straight line. frustrating as hell.

    OMG down 60! Never stopping!

Thinking I'll just pin everything in my glutes. Already do GHK-cu there with a half-inch needle—barely a reaction. Lower belly some days feels absolutely wrecked. Lumps from Tesa, MOTS-c, sometimes Tirz. Needs a vacation.

Back/hip pain on Tirz - anyone else?

my CPAP machine's adjusted all the way down to 4cm and i'm sleeping better than in ages. crazy thing is i'm still 25 lbs above the weight where i first got OSA — which might mean tirz is helping beyond just the weight loss

Down 80lbs - Diet is KEY!

Not looking good based on SURMOUNT results—people gained a bunch back after stopping and kept gaining. On the flip side, plenty of us here would rather stay on these for life. Way less food noise, better health overall. I'm around calories all day and not being tempted is huge.

    Sema changed my life!

in the us ozempic for diabetes only goes up to 2 a week, but wegovy — same drug for weight loss — just got cleared for 7.2 a week. ozempic caps out at 2 because it was never for weight loss, blood sugar doesn't need more. but if dropping weight is the goal you can go way further than 1.5.

1+ year stall on max dose: ideas?

For me personally, max dose gets limited by how much I can tolerate side-effect wise. Might be above or under the official trial max.

Every time I see posts like this, I'm just so thankful for science. Thanks, GLP-1s! 🙏

1+ year stall on max dose: ideas?

Interesting! I've heard that repeated exposure can reduce the effectiveness. Maybe cycling off and back on helps.

    GLP-1s crossing into the brain?

You're essentially fighting your own system. Remove carbs your body runs on daily and it needs days to adapt. Then layer a false GLP signal tricking your brain into thinking you just ate, so it assumes carbs are heading in. Can't absorb carbs that never arrive. Your body kicks out extra insulin...

1+ year stall on max dose: ideas?

I had a stall for a few months. I paused and then restarted a few weeks later at the lowest dose, but switched to a different medication. That helped me start losing again.

Officially down a hundo! Onederland, here I come!

Massive congrats! Fantastic work. I'm really happy for you! I've been chipping away at my goal for about a year and a half, down 60ish pounds. Still got 30 to go, so you're a real inspiration!

1+ year stall on max dose: ideas?

Assuming you're already tracking your food carefully, exercising, and drinking enough water... Here are some things you could talk to your doctor about: * Adding an older weight loss drug like phentermine or something similar to see if that helps start up weight loss again * Switching to the...

    Enough with the protein craze?

Hitting protein goals is tough. I lift 4x a week and struggle to get to 145g. Most days land around 100g. Not great but could be worse.

Exercise ain't that great for weight loss?!

Maybe not, but that's what the machine said, based on my weight and I weighed a lot more than anyone else using that machine. Whether it was accurate or not, it was a big motivator to keep going for the full 90 minutes.

Exercise ain't that great for weight loss?!

The only times exercise worked for me was when I was going hard on the stairmaster for 90 minutes, then doing circuit machines, every single day with no days off. It worked great until I got sick with a bad respiratory infection. And why 90 minutes on the stairmaster? It had the computer that...

Exercise ain't that great for weight loss?!

Totally! Think about your heart health, boosting HDL, and stopping LDL from turning into plaque. And ditching the junk food is a big one.

    Done with Mounjaro... for now!

Pure_Guy421 Hey! Great question! I think everyone's skin elasticity is different, but I've been using lotion religiously and doing a lot of strength training to help. I do have some loose skin, especially around my stomach, but it's not too bad. The shape change has been awesome though, I feel...

    Done with Mounjaro... for now!

Thanks, everyone! Yuki09 I'm a little nervous about the potential weight regain, but I'm hoping my lifestyle changes will help. I appreciate the heads up about restarting at 2.5mg if I go back on. HawkGirl Thanks for the forum recommendation, I'll check it out! Salad_Dude Glad I could help pep...
