47 lbs down is huge, noticeable on anybody. maybe he's feeling weird about the change? sometimes people get awkward when someone close loses weight. could be worth asking what's really going on.

    Major rash from my shot?!

I had this in my underarms, but it lasted for like 5 months. Happened on both Ozempic and Mounjaro. My doctor gave me a topical, and it eventually cleared!

    Major rash from my shot?!

I have never had this reaction to it, though I do get site reactions sometimes. I am so sorry you are going through this.

    Major rash from my shot?!

Very itchy indeed! I think the prescription creams worked for me, though it took some time... or maybe I just got used to the med.

    Favorite healthy meals?

Second week at 0.25mcg. Still have appetite suppression but acid reflux and nausea the day after pinning—super sensitive to Tirz apparently. Took famotidine at night, woke up fine. Eating more today than I could last week without nausea. Had food allergies and gastroparesis before. Digesting...

    Sulphur Burps From Heck!

That's interesting. I've heard that injecting the shot farther from the stomach (like in the thigh) might minimize some side effects. Has anyone tried that?

Burps That Smell Like Rotten Eggs?!

wait, do you mean mixing them in one shot? according to that chart, don't mix glp1s with anything. what does that even mean?

    Sulphur Burps From Heck!

I had them when I started. Now, I just burp up whatever I ate the day before. It's so strange! I had some of a bacon cheeseburger two days ago, and all day yesterday I could taste that bacon cheeseburger when I burped. Really gross!!!

When did you REALLY feel the effects?

It's different for everyone. I've seen some people not respond much to 2.5mg. It's not always a therapeutic dose, and it takes a little time to build up in your system. Stick with it!

    Sulphur Burps From Heck!

🤣🤣🤣 My husband was across the room and asked, "Is that sulfur I smell?" "Umm, yeah, sorry!" 😩

When did you REALLY feel the effects?

The first week for me. But, we also started a low-carb eating plan at the same time. I don't want to call it a "diet" though. I began with 2mg of Reta about 10 weeks ago and have slowly increased to 5mg. I took the first 5mg this morning. At first I couldn't eat hardly anything, but I'm eating a...

    Stopping Ozempic - what's next?

A well-managed keto diet can also reverse diabetes.

    Stopping Ozempic - what's next?

With T2D and Ozempic, my A1C dropped a lot. I'm off the insulin pump now, just one insulin shot a day. Still on Ozempic! Medicare didn't want to pay for the pump because my C-Peptide showed my pancreas still works. Seems I'm less insulin resistant now and my pancreas is doing more of the work!

    Math check for Reta dose?

This thread's been super helpful for a newbie like me, thanks! I'm trying to absorb as much as I can, and hoping I've grasped the basics!

    Math check for Reta dose?

You mentioned earlier that a 5% overfill isn't unusual, which would mean 10% in this specific case. Percentages are percentages. Maybe you meant a 0.5mg overfill, which would *be* 10%? I don’t stress about overfills, or starting at a low percentage of typical dosing schedules.

    Vitamin stack while on GLP-1s?

I think everyone needs a few basic supplements, especially after 50. Even if you aren't using GLP-1s. Magnesium, CoQ10, Omega-3, D/K2, and collagen are a good start. The rest depends on your diet and health. I added creatine and electrolytes since starting Reta. I also use...

    Math check for Reta dose?

If you reconstitute a 5mg vial, then 1mg is just a fifth of whatever volume you ended up with. Since 1mL = 100 units, then 0.4mL, or 40 units, is a fifth of 2mL. So yeah, that math seems right.

    Vitamin stack while on GLP-1s?

I take fish oil, zinc, magnesium, and vitamin D since I don't get much sunlight. The magnesium has helped with sleep, and fortunately, Reta hasn't messed with my sleep like it has for others.

    Anyone else a slow loser?

It really is. It's hard to describe to someone who hasn't experienced it, but it's like a constant hum in the background finally goes silent.

    Anyone else a slow loser?

I didn't lose any weight with that other med after three months of feeling awful. But I did with this other one.
