Down 35 lbs in 3 Months - Sharing My Journey!

For folks doing strength training, remember that can really help with body composition during weight loss. It's great you're already doing that! Muscle burns more calories at rest, and it can help minimize muscle loss while on GLP-1s.

    Slow losers, unite!

Bobby45 It might be worth talking to your doctor about increasing your dosage if you're still feeling hungry on 1mg. Everyone's different, and you might need a higher dose to get the full effect. Also, focus on protein and fiber to help you feel fuller longer! Good luck – you CAN do this!

Bobby45 Thanks! The side effects weren't too bad. I got a little nauseous at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to stay hydrated and eat small meals.

    This stuff is HOW much?!

Just a heads-up, you might want to budget for some new clothes down the road. All those savings might disappear into a new wardrobe!

    Slow losers, unite!

That's amazing progress!! 🤩 I've noticed the rate slows as you near your goal weight. I'm currently at your starting weight of 166 (down from 233), and the loss is definitely slowing. Keep it up! Slowly but surely! 🙌

    Slow losers, unite!

Started semaglutide near the end of June '24, and I've only managed to shed around 25 pounds. Progress is progress, though! Just wanted to encourage anyone else not seeing rapid results to hang in there and keep going!

    This stuff is HOW much?!

Why the huge stockpile? Is that the door? The temperature fluctuates in the door. It's not good for eggs, so don't store expensive temperature-sensitive medicines there. I stash my extra doses in a climate-controlled crisper drawer since I'm in Louisiana.

Wow, what a journey! Someone else posted about a similar experience dropping over 100 pounds and not realizing the magnitude of the change until seeing old photos. It's an amazing feeling!

Finally fitting into my old jeans!

Insane progress, congratulations! Health gains. Wishing best new goals. Not dramatic, 145 days starting, 20 percent lost, halfway 39 down, another 35-40 go. Near normal BMI finally. Swapped GERD meds H2 blockers, week lower BP meds, too low.

    Hair falling out? Vote YES!

Staying at 160 after stopping shows you learned portion control. That's the real win from the medication.

    Sixty pounds gone!

Just a reminder that BMI is a population-level measure and not always the best indicator for individuals. Body composition (muscle mass vs. fat mass) plays a huge role! Focus on your overall health markers and how you feel, not just a number on a chart.
