    Low dose success!

For those with PCOS considering GLP-1s, it's important to discuss potential side effects and interactions with other medications with your healthcare provider. While promising, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Tirz stalled. Time to bump up?

Update: After one week at 5mg, my weight is going down again (2 pounds this week is good). Just a coincidence? ... I'll post another update soon. Thanks for the advice

Tirz stalled. Time to bump up?

Thanks everyone for sharing, I think I will follow your advice. Tomorrow I will increase to 5mg tirz, and I'll stay at this dose as long as it works. Reta will stay in the freezer. I'll keep you updated.

    Brunch Sabotage: Meds edition

Yikes at the "who can eat the least" competition in this thread. Is this an ED forum now?

Tirz stalled. Time to bump up?

Thank you, Can you share what questions were on the questionnaire? If I decide to increase to 5mg, hoping no bad effects, what can I expect? Less appetite, more weight loss with the same food, something else?

    Brunch Sabotage: Meds edition

Lower the dose. You'll shed pounds, but you will lose muscle. Starvation isn't a sustainable plan.

Tirz stalled. Time to bump up?

Thanks for your input. I am 60 years old, 5'11", started at 262lbs (BMI 36). I gained around 45 pounds during COVID (lost about 10lbs at the gym before starting tirz). I'm not having side effects at 2.5mg/week, and I'm eating the same food (mostly low carb) since the first week of tirz. Next...

Tirz stalled. Time to bump up?

Hello, Been taking tirzepatide for about a month and a half, at 2.5mg each week. The first month was amazing (lost about 13 pounds!), but the last couple of weeks my weight hasn't changed (was 262lbs, now 249lbs). I noticed my appetite is way lower, and the food chatter in my brain is almost...

    GLP-1 costs got you down?

So, the Mounjaro group is now a political arena. Fantastic. 🙄

Reta or Tirz for Gut Issues?

Every five or seven days? If seven, move to five to match the half-life. Already at five? Increase to 17.5mg. People handle 20mg every five with no issues.

    GLP-1 costs got you down?

I love reading everyone's stories about how Mounjaro is working (or not working) for them. And the before and after pics are super motivating.

    GLP-1 progress check-in

Yep, great job! I know it’s not just the medication.

    Down 50, A1c great!

That's great to hear, Taylor37! Diabetes control is always the top priority. Weight loss is just an added benefit in many cases. Some people can achieve remission with weight loss, while others with a strong family history may always need some form of medication.

    Down 89lbs in 49 weeks!

I've been prescribing these meds for three years now, and I've gotta say, I haven't seen a single patient maintain their weight loss after stopping. Some folks really went all-out with diet and exercise, but the weight always comes back. Did you have any plan in mind for after? Just curious!
