Greetings from Germany!
I began my weight loss journey at the start of 2024, using a similar medication before switching to tirzepatide. 7.5 mg per week worked well. Around mid-year, I discovered retatrutide and decided to give it a try, with very positive results.
I began at 289 lbs (131 kg), with an initial goal of 220 lbs (100 kg). I eventually reached 207 lbs (94 kg). I am now figuring out the best maintenance dose, somewhere between 2.5 mg and 5 mg of retatrutide. I also tried a combo of 2.5 mg of one med plus 2.5 mg of retatrutide, but I'm still evaluating that. I think 5 mg of retatrutide alone is enough.
My health has improved a lot. My blood pressure is stable, and a dizziness issue is gone. I think it's because of the weight loss. I had some mild digestive issues (constipation), but I managed it with soaked prunes in my morning muesli. Works great!
Since January 2024, I've cut out alcohol completely. I used to enjoy a beer or wine with dinner, but I don't miss it. I'm eating healthier, with lots of veggies and protein. I go to the gym twice a week and stay active.
I think my lifestyle is balanced now. It was one of the best decisions of my life. It wasn't always easy, but it was worth it. I want to share my experience to encourage others to stay committed and patient!
