Sema or Tirz: Which to try first?

Ozempic for diabetes tops out at 2.0, but Wegovy semaglutide goes up to 7.2 now. If it's for T2, tirz would probably be next after 2.0 since insurance would likely cover it.

Started 2.5mg, no side effects. Working?

I climbed slowly to my current 2mg dose, and for some unknown reason 2mg feels best. No more nausea.

    Mounjaro's totally changed my life!

What an amazing and inspiring result!!! You go, girl! Were you on any vitamins next to the mounjaro?

    Reta Results - Worth It?

I never used another GLP ahead of Reta. What exactly do you give up if you stop Reta? Does Reta have a better fat-burning mechanism while Tirz is better at appetite suppression? Beyond inflammation control, what edge does Tirz hold on Reta?

    Ozempic Victory!

My Ozempic start was in November since of type 2 diabetes, and lost little weight until I reached 1 mg. Maybe 25 lbs total. I stay on 1 mg because my A1C improved drastically, and there's not much more weight I can spare.

Ozempic journey - don't give up!

I reached a plateau of about 6 months immediately when I started 15mg, after losing about a third of my body weight. Then I started losing again out of nowhere and I am down about 47% in total, still slowly losing. No changes on my end, the loss simply paused and later resumed on its own...

    Starting Mounjaro this week!

Go for it, you really can do this. Mounjaro makes sticking to a calorie-controlled plan so much easier!

    Hunger on injection day?

This has the look of rebound hunger. Are you dosing each week? Some people dose every five days or more often. I wouldn't be scared to raise the tirz dose, for instance 7 mg on a five-day cycle (close to 10 mg weekly). Adding cagri is a decent option too.

Almost a year on Oz - my story!

I am 50, female, as of August 5. I started O in August 2022 for t2d, 5'2", starting weight 243, now about 160. My appetite was suppressed with each new dose while I learnt a new way of eating, and I think that's how I maintain the loss. Ozempic wasn't my only tool, my eating habits genuinely...

    Coming off GLP-1s: Success!

Progress has stopped entirely. Now the goal's shifted to gaining a little back, or at least holding the line. Insurance won't approve stepping down to the smaller amount, so staying put at the current level but skipping alternate weeks. Considering tapering off completely. Type 2 diabetes stays...

    Reta messing with your sleep?

Are you currently running any GLP-1, and if so, which one and at what amount? Genuinely curious about a specific optimism-boosting peptide since that effect sounds useful for me. Already prone to depression and low moods in general, and the flatness reta brings on tends to deepen that tendency...

When did the scale finally budge??

Are you at the higher dose yet? Sometimes it just takes other people longer! Saw zero movement on the scale despite being on the lowest amount for over three months and cutting food intake significantly. Only once I bumped up did the weight actually start coming off, and even then it was...

    Loving the Skin I'm In!

Way to go! The scale reading is only ever a number, but genuine self-love sticks around forever. So happy to hear things feel more comfortable these days! Enjoy every version of who you are, whatever the weight says!

    GLP-1s and major weight loss!

Sorry if how I phrased that came out a bit off, but genuinely appreciate hearing your take. Feels like plenty of folks are only now catching on that this drug class offers a whole lot beyond simply shrinking the number on the scale.

    GLP-1s eating your muscle?

Those early claims about GLP-1s causing severe muscle loss look overstated, mostly because standard scans like DEXA lump intramuscular fat in with total muscle mass. Compounds such as tirzepatide and reta have actually been shown in studies to specifically cut down that muscle marbling, meaning...

    Reta and explosive 💩?

Still not sure whether I caught something or if it was just from nudging my reta dose up a bit. Prefer to believe it was some kind of stomach bug, because there was definitely some explosive diarrhea involved.

    Soooo tired on this med?

Really glad this got said out loud. Same experience here, total energy drain along with heavy brain fog and constant body fatigue, even after fixing both an iron and vitamin D shortfall. Genuinely started wondering if something more serious was going on. Bumped the dosage up recently, maybe not...

    Ozempic price drop in Canada?

Paid a modest amount at a BC pharmacy for the brand-name version, splitting doses brought the monthly cost down even further. Getting charged several hundred sounds like a serious overpay if that's really happening.

Starting Ozempic - First Week Thoughts

Fairly new to this medication, and honestly only kind of new. Still love fresh produce, so I still enjoy browsing local markets. But I'm a serious food lover too, and the thought of a fancy restaurant meal barely appeals to me anymore, which honestly thrills me. Had no clue how much mental space...

    Food doesn't run me anymore!

Genuinely know this feeling. Working in pharmacy, this comes up a lot since people are often surprised this drug class can shift how quickly certain oral medications get taken up, since digestion runs slower overall. Doesn't mean everything works worse, but timing can feel different for some...
