    Week 1 on GLP-1 - anyone else?

amazing success story, thanks for that. didn't realize the dopamine adjustment was such a big thing for me and i'm struggling with it. replaced binge eating with calorie obsession. food noise is gone but now i'm obsessed another way. working with my therapist on balance and enjoying food without...

GLP-1 Muscle Loss: Should We Worry?

I run creatine in my protein shake post-workout. Noticed a trend with citrulline too - been reading up on it. Thanks for the input, fam.

I can reach my feet again! 😃

I agree, no-more-snacks. The mental shift is huge. I saw someone online saying that it took them a year on semaglutide to drop 77lbs, but the real change was their life. That resonates so much!

Anyone lose on the baby doses?

Many people respond to 0.25mg or 0.5mg, but results vary widely. These initial dosages are meant to build up medication in your system, which is why many folks only see major changes at 1.0mg or higher. Some 'super-responders' have drastic appetite reduction and weight loss right away, because...

Tired all the time on GLP-1?

mix a few peptides in one syringe to cut down pins, mix syringes 2-4 weeks ahead with compatible ones. not popular here but my functional medicine doc does it too to reduce injections. risk tolerance thing. thepeptidelist has an interaction checker.

    Reta-TRUE-tide... or not?

People don't really like it when others change. Makes them unpredictable, or maybe they like keeping you the same way for their own reasons. It's more complex than jealousy honestly. And yeah, people seem pretty biased against these meds overall.

Does my order look right to you guys?

Be thoughtful about what you're doing. Have an objective, track with bloodwork. Careless experimentation with gh has worse outcomes than most people realize.

    Down 90lbs! Happy tears!!

Started Oz in December, waist was 50 inches. Today it's 41.5—that's 8.5 inches gone and I look like I lost 20 pounds. But the scale? Only 4.5 lbs down. Not exercising, not building muscle. What's happening? Water retention?

    Reta + Sema Together? Thoughts?

TDEE maintenance for me is 2700 but I eat 1800 M-F then whatever on weekends, prob 2500-3000 with Saturday higher. Basically doing a refeed diet without knowing it. Lets me stay restricted M-F knowing extra days are coming. Not getting cold or unable to focus though.

    My clothes are too big!

I've been on this since last spring, and I'm always amazed when I compare earlier photos to now. Sometimes it's hard to tell day to day, but when I see the progress over months...wow. Even just how my clothes fit is a huge difference! Measurements, in addition to the scale, can be really helpful.

Why's everyone nagging 'bout my weight?

They could be coming from a place of concern. Some people look better with an extra five pounds.

    My clothes are too big!

I bought a few pairs of size 4 jeans, thinking I'd never get smaller than that. I did, and now I'm a 0 or 2. But it felt so good buying those jeans, and I don't regret it. Treat yourself to a pair or two of cheap jeans, and show them off! You can always donate them when they get too big.

7+ months in - slow but steady!

I've been thinking about trying semaglutide again. I'm 5'0 and at 165, it's not a good space to be in. I'm pre-diabetic and that's scary. It took me two months to get a referral to a specialist last time.

Why's everyone nagging 'bout my weight?

Often, people react to the speed of the weight loss. They are used to seeing the old you and haven't adjusted. If your labs are good, you feel good, and you aren't underweight, you're probably fine. I'm 5'5" and went from 215 to 150, and I'm pretty darn small at that weight. So, less focus on...

    My clothes are too big!

I made the mistake of buying 5 new pairs right when my old jeans got too big. Two months later, I needed pants two sizes smaller. Now I'm down from a size 34 to a 30/31. So, I still wear the bigger pants sometimes because I don't want them to go to waste. Definitely get yourself something new...

We are all unique. I was taking semaglutide for half a year and only got rid of a pound! Consider yourself fortunate!
