    Dosing quandaries...

Exactly! I read a really interesting study about people who stopped taking one of these meds about a year ago. About 56% maintained their weight loss, and over 30% actually lost even more! Here's the link if anyone's interested...

    Dosing quandaries...

Just a reminder that doing it that often would put you at significantly more than 5mg a week.

    Dosing quandaries...

At that dosage the extra amount in the vial could have an impact. You should double-check the certificate of analysis. Depending on the seller, the total might be closer to 35-36mg. If you've been on 2.5mg for a while and haven't had any adverse reactions, bumping up a few days early shouldn't...

    Almost at my GW, terrified!

I've heard of people splitting their doses to help with side effects. Has anyone tried that? I had a pt who was having issues, so she injected half her dose twice a week instead of the full dose once a week. Said it helped a ton.

    GLP-1 cost analysis?

I only saw a slight heart rate increase. I also had fewer GI issues and got better results than with Tirz or Sema. But everyone reacts differently.

    GLP-1 cost analysis?

Reta has worked well for me, even though it's pricier. Cost isn't a huge factor IMO. My average weekly cost for Reta is around $9 at 6mg per week. Sema or Tirz might be closer to $3 or $5, but the difference isn't huge. The meds more than pay for themselves, even with savings on food and drinks.

    GLP-1 cost analysis?

I'm hesitant to dismiss cost without knowing someone's financial situation.

    GLP-1 cost analysis?

Studies show semaglutide generally does not result in as much weight loss as tirzepatide. Less conclusive studies suggest retatrutide leads to more weight loss than tirzepatide. Semaglutide works well for a lot of people. In the tech world, it might be like the latest iPhone if other companies...

    GLP-1s are LIFE!

Are you titrating up slowly enough? Some people experience better results with a gradual increase in dosage. Also, are you injecting in the right spot and holding the pen correctly? There are lots of videos online that show the right technique.

    GLP-1 cost analysis?

If sema is managing your weight effectively, I wouldn't recommend switching to reta or tirz based solely on unconfirmed health benefits, especially if cost is a factor.

    GLP-1 cost analysis?

If sema is working for you, stick with it. I had a pharma rep friend who always said if a patient was doing well on a competitor's drug, there was no reason to switch. Generally, people tend to lose more weight using tirzepatide and retatrutide. However, both usually cost more than semaglutide.

    Halfway to my goal weight!

I have to agree with Maintenance_Mode. Trying on smaller sizes and donating what no longer fits is a great way to mark progress and keep you motivated. Make a donation pile and send them away! No going back!
