Tips for upping my sema dose?

Hello! I'm about to increase my dose to 0.5mg soon and would love some pointers! I had already dropped 60 lbs before starting this journey, and since beginning semaglutide back on November 29th, I've lost another 20 lbs! Feeling great, but also a little overwhelmed. I'm planning on sticking...

    Free GLP-1s under Medicare?

I'm hopeful but realistic. It's a step in the right direction, even if it doesn't fully pan out immediately. We have to keep advocating for access!

    Free GLP-1s under Medicare?

He's such a good man. I'm going to miss him when he's gone.

    Free GLP-1s under Medicare?

Heard some buzzing news today, folks. It looks like the current administration is attempting to get GLP-1 medications covered for those with obesity under Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurances. Regardless of your political alignment, this is a great step forward for health. I just want...

RS is glued to the toilet 😫

It's important to remember that rapid weight loss, regardless of the method, can sometimes lead to gallstone formation. This is something to watch out for, especially if your RS is experiencing abdominal pain in addition to the diarrhea. It might be worth discussing with a doctor, as gallstones...

    Ozempic lawsuits already?

No, I mean magnesium oxide and magnesium threonate. Oxide is better for bowel movements. Threonate is for brain health. I avoid citrate.

    Ozempic lawsuits already?

Betaine HCL can be helpful, since many people have low stomach acid. Also, magnesium oxide helps to keep things moving, if you know what I mean.

CGMs and GLP-1s: Who's Using 'Em?

The Libre 2 app is terrible. The CSV data is more useful, but you have to generate the visuals yourself. BTW, this is what my week looks like: Metformin 500mg ER + tirz 2.5, under 1000 calories daily, no exercise. It's basically a flatline 🤣

CGMs and GLP-1s: Who's Using 'Em?

That's pretty neat. It echoes what I'm seeing too. No more major ups and downs. Just a few small 'hills.' I'm also eating significantly less and following a low-carb diet, which definitely helps. For data geeks (like myself!), seeing the patterns is cool 😆 P.S. What a thoughtful idea to get a...

CGMs and GLP-1s: Who's Using 'Em?

I use a Freestyle Libre 2. It's not the top-of-the-line, but it works well enough, IMO. It really hinges on your health conditions, what other medications you're on, and your GLP-1 dosage. If you're a type 1 or type 2 diabetic needing insulin, a CGM is essential, period. If you're on a high...

    Celebrating a Victory!

Way to go!! 🎉 It's a mind trip to suddenly be treated like a 'normal' person after being ignored because of your weight. It’s hard not to get cynical about it. Just remember that others have been there too. I'm extra grateful for the people who loved me at every size.

Losing weight but no one notices?

Tall girl represent! 🙋🏼‍♀️ It took me a while to really see a change, but you can totally tell you've dropped weight! Like people have said, your clothes fit much better, and your upper body seems slimmer too. Stand tall and feel confident! You're killing it!
