Heard some buzzing news today, folks. It looks like the current administration is attempting to get GLP-1 medications covered for those with obesity under Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurances. Regardless of your political alignment, this is a great step forward for health. I just want to thank the guy for his service. This could be life-changing for so many of us.

I'm happy to see the push, regardless. Whatever you think about him, he seems to be trying to do good things for people. I appreciate the effort.

While I’m thrilled this is even on the table, I doubt it’ll actually go through. The current administration has hardly any time left, and the GOP is likely to block it just because it was a Dem idea. Still, keeping my fingers crossed... maybe a Christmas miracle?

Sounds like the current administration is trying to make things difficult for the next one before they leave.

I might have to quit my job to qualify again, LOL. All insurance plans should be required to cover these!

My husband got Ozempic covered last year because of his insurance. He has diabetes and heart issues, can you believe it? He's down about 40 pounds now, his labs are great, and he is feeling so much better. I did an online compound and paid $200/month instead of his $250 co-pay. I had the same outcome. No magic, just less hunger making it easier to eat healthy.

I've heard some people are using research chemicals because they can't afford the brand names. Be careful with that stuff; quality control is a big issue. It might be legal for 'research,' but not for personal use.

I read somewhere that Denmark's economy is booming because of Ozempic exports! Crazy how much these drugs are changing things.
