RD doing an AMA on GLP-1s!

Do you have any insight on how to help those who don't respond well? I've lost about 10 lbs in half a year, but only because I'm carefully tracking calories. I'm on 1.7mg Wegovy. I don't have any side effects except less hunger, and I can still easily overeat. I probably have a low resting...

    Lilly's drug TOO effective?!

It's just an average, right? So most people will be nowhere near that. Some will drop 40%, some will only lose like, 15%.

    Lilly's drug TOO effective?!

Haha, not a bad problem to have! But seriously, I get being nervous when a new medicine works TOO well. Especially if you're losing muscle too.

Gained all the weight back. Anyone else?

I don’t think you “let” it happen; it will almost always happen because the food noise comes back. I had the same thing happen and continued with diet and exercise. Fought it for a year, but slowly the weight started back. I’ve gained back about 30 pounds, and I’m tired of the fight.

Gained all the weight back. Anyone else?

You didn't 'allow' anything. Obesity is a condition. If someone has hypertension and discontinues their meds, their blood pressure will increase. Individuals with diabetes who quit using insulin will also experience detrimental consequences. GLP-1s address the illness, but they don't eliminate...

I don't see it! Pics DO help tho

If you're not seeing it, there's probably more going on than just the weight loss, which is pretty common. Therapy could likely be really helpful.

    Almost a year down!

I definitely made some big changes to my diet, Core_Loss. Smaller portions, more protein, less processed foods. The meds helped me feel full faster and made it easier to say no to junk food, but I still had to put in the work. It's a team effort!

    Almost a year down!

That's a question I'm starting to think about more seriously. I'm hoping that with continued exercise, some of it will tighten up naturally. But surgery is definitely on the table if needed.

    Almost a year down!

Just about at my one year mark. Still got a journey ahead, but I've dropped 180 pounds so far. Honestly, its been the most fulfilling year because I finally feel like I'm actually living life instead of just going through the motions. Really appreciate this community and all the support it...

    Mounjaroversary - one year in!

Amazing! You look fantastic!!! Did you have to exercise or was it just the medication? I'm thinking about starting it. Thanks!

    BAC Water Armageddon?

Tirz works fine with it, though. But BAC is still available, it just costs more.

    BAC Water Armageddon?

My first case of BAC water only cost me $80. Those were the good old days. I just managed to get it for $160 this past week, which is still decent.

    BAC Water Armageddon?

Has anyone asked their doctor for a script for BAC water yet? Might be cheaper than what we're paying now anyway.
