    GLP-1s: No more excuses?

The sourcing reliability question is the real constraint on accessibility - the medication is well-established but the pathways to it range from pharmacy-grade with prescriptions to gray market with variable quality control. Overseas pharmacy routes cut cost significantly but shift all the...

Mounjaro side effects got too bad 😭

The candy craving uptick on GLP-1s is documented - there's a subset of people where protein and fat aversion redirects cravings toward simple carbohydrates rather than eliminating appetite generally.

    Appetite back on higher dose?

The appetite return at a higher dose is a titration effect for some people - the body adjusts to the new level before the full suppression kicks in. Usually settles within 2-4 weeks at the new dose.

Can't do protein or fats on this stuff!

Just a heads up, some studies suggest that diet sodas like Coke Zero can actually increase hunger and cravings, even though they don't have any calories. So, it might be best to use that in moderation, or find a different low sugar beverage. Maybe diet root beer?

Can't do protein or fats on this stuff!

I had this for the first 2-3 weeks. I couldn't even look at meat. Greek yogurt and protein drinks were the only things I could manage. It got better around week 4, and I started eating normal food again little by little. Don't force yourself right now, just try to get protein in however you can.

Can't do protein or fats on this stuff!

It's okay to avoid foods that are making you feel sick. You should be able to add those back in later on. I found eggs and a tiny bit of cheese helpful at first to get some protein.

    Reta progress after 2 months

I saw someone on the other forum started at 2.5mg of Reta. Seems kinda high, no? I'd be worried about side effects starting with that much.

    Reta progress after 2 months

You're doing great, man! It looks like your stomach's shrinking the most, or at least at the same rate as everything else. I started reta on December 7th and lost 20lbs by mid-January, but my stomach is still kinda big. I even got down to 168, which is lighter than I've been since high school...

    Leftover doses - anyone else?

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Good to know I'm not the only one trying to get every last bit of medication. I'll definitely get some extra needles. Tone_IMO385 good point about staying on the dose as long as it works. I'll keep that in mind.

    Leftover doses - anyone else?

Hey everyone, Just finished the starter pen, and like I thought, there's some medication still in there. I think I could even get another full dose out of it. Anyone else use the remaining medication? I know I'm going up to a higher dose now, but for future pens when I'm staying at the same...

Reta delivery -- how long is too long?

Plus, keep in mind that Chinese New Year can mess things up. Depending on when you ordered and when the vendor takes their holiday, it might not ship until late February.

Reta delivery -- how long is too long?

It's all about the vendor and where they are shipping from. Some vendors have warehouses inside the US, so the shipping is super fast. I had one order show up in just 3 days, but another took over two weeks because it came from China with a stopover in Canada before it got to me. I have another...

    GLP-1s: real talk, real life

GLP-1 RECEPTOR AGONISTS: A REAL-WORLD GUIDE There is a lot of noise around GLP-1 medications right now. Some people call them "miracle drugs." Others call them "the easy way out." In between those extremes are real people navigating weight, hormones, chronic disease, family dynamics, mental...

    Mounjaro Journey: Down 190+ lbs!

Honestly, the cost of new clothes is a small price to pay for the health benefits. I went from like a size 22 to a size 12!

    One year on the shot!

Good question, TrimSis! I've also been researching strategies to preserve muscle mass. I've increased my protein intake and I'm considering adding creatine to my supplement stack.
