    GLP-1s: Bye bye cravings?

Booze cravings? Gone. Coffee? Gone. And this one I'm not proud of... Chasing tail? Gone. This medication is amazing.

Officially down a hundo! Onederland, here I come!

It looks like you're wearing the same top in both pics. If you are, that makes the transformation even more obvious! Great job. I'm almost at my 7th week and I've plateaued a bit, but I haven't gained, so I'm counting that as a win. I've lost about 20 pounds so far, with another 40-60 to go!

Pics! My Mounjaro journey so far!

You look phenomenal! I love that you're comfortable where you are. Loose skin? Where? Wait until you are older, haha! I got lucky and my skin seems to have bounced back ok. And YES! It seems to quiet the OCD & ADHD thoughts! It's a shame most doctors don't see that too.

Red spot at injection site - anyone else?

I'm not an expert, but I read that this can happen when the injection is too shallow. Are you getting the needle all the way in?

Foods you just can't stand anymore?

Totally normal. Give it a few weeks. It takes time for the medication to really work on your blood sugar and appetite. Try upping your protein intake; that can help.

Red spot at injection site - anyone else?

I sometimes see a red spot. It could be from the medicine or the metal in the needle. If there's no widespread rash or trouble breathing/swelling, I wouldn't worry.

    Cloudy Reta - normal?

The 1mg:1mL thing isn’t a hard rule. It’s just a very dilute benchmark. Many use 5–10mg/mL without issues. The important thing is that it re-dissolves completely. To reduce the chance of it happening again, try using 2–3mL next time to slightly lower the concentration.

Foods you just can't stand anymore?

Everything I used to love is just too dry. Bread, crackers, popcorn... it's awful. But also, it's fine. I started out losing nearly 100 pounds just recovering from some binge eating issues. Then I got on the medication. So I was already pretty used to not eating those things.

    Cloudy Reta - normal?

I heard about someone who mixed a new vial of Reta with bac water (factory sealed) at room temp, and it was cloudy. Is that normal or safe? Another vial from the same batch mixed with Hospira bac water was fine.

Foods you just can't stand anymore?

I don't even enjoy food anymore. And honestly, it's made shedding over 100 lbs a breeze! I don't miss it one bit. Grocery shopping is simple: plain yogurt and tomato soup. Done.

    Making BAC water at home?

Just be careful with that, Zara64. Make sure it was refrigerated the whole time. Semaglutide is only good for 56 days outside of refrigeration according to the pharmacist.

    Bloodwork before Tirzepatide?

I'm having my naturopath order bloodwork, but I'm not mentioning what I'm taking. I'm just telling her I've lost around 20lbs and want to see my current health markers. She hasn't grilled me about the weight loss... yet.

    Sketchy shipping co - scam?

It can be difficult to tell. It is important to remember that many peptides are not FDA approved. It is also important that you purchase from reputable compounders, who will be more likely to have higher quality controls.

Reta and Insomnia - Anyone Else?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. My sleep was generally okay before starting, nothing remarkable, but I could fall asleep easily and stay asleep most of the night. I'll try the magnesium and look into DSIP. I appreciate the advice!

Reta and Insomnia - Anyone Else?

I'm finding that on a dose around 1mg each week, I'm up all night. Really struggling to fall asleep and then I wake up frequently. Anyone else experiencing this and have any tips?

    Dosing schedule disaster! Advice needed!

Just a heads-up based on what ThinLizzie said: tirzepatide is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, while semaglutide is *only* a GLP-1 receptor agonist. That difference in mechanism is why many find tirzepatide more effective. Something to keep in mind as you transition, CoolMom559.
