    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

That sounds awful. Are you still in that job?

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

Exactly! That's why I'm concerned. The FDA is already weakened. This case is perfect if you wanted to turn people against the agency even more. It's the FDA siding with a rich company to block access to important meds vs. sick people. They're in a tough spot, but it looks REALLY bad.

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

I kinda feel bad for the FDA. They're getting hammered from all sides. Lilly's already suing them for not classifying Reta as a biologic. Now the compounders are suing them for taking Mounjaro off the shortage list. Honestly, Lilly probably would have sued them if they *hadn't* removed it. I...

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

Word on the street (via Reuters) is that a group representing compounding pharmacies launched a lawsuit against the FDA. Apparently, they're steamed about the FDA taking Lilly's weight loss and diabetes meds off the 'shortage' list...

BACTERIOSTATIC is a description of the water, not a brand name.

    AmoPure batch stings! Anyone else?

Interesting. 🤨 I don’t have any insights to offer other than that is not supposed to happen. I hope the product doesn’t cause you more pain.

GymGirl, did you use a sterile filter after you mixed your product?

    Down 115lbs since April '23!

I think it's important to pay attention to your body and report anything unusual to your doctor. I saw a post recently where someone's weight loss masked symptoms of something serious.

Awesome work! I'm thinking about starting the medication myself... Are you still taking it, and do you plan to stop at some point?

    Halfway to my goal!

It's amazing how even a small dose can make a difference. I've been on 0.25 for almost 4 weeks and I've dropped about 10 pounds. My doc said we'll stay here as long as it's working and I'm tolerating it well.

    Halfway to my goal!

That's amazing! I'm slowly getting there; I just hit 235 today after starting at 280.6 about four months ago.

Reconstituting GLP-1s: pH, storage & safety

Jumping in with a clinical perspective. The difference between "optimal stability pH" and "dangerous pH" is critical. Many injectable medications are formulated near physiologic pH (around 7). A shift of 1-2 units does not automatically create toxic aggregates. What degrades most peptides over...

Down 12 lbs! Slow but steady!

Thank you for posting that! I started June 14th at 209, and this morning clocked in at 198.9, and I've been so bummed at how slow it's going, but this is a good reminder that we ARE moving forward! My ultimate goal is 140 (I'm 5'4") so still got a ways to go, but we'll make it!

    Ozempic prices too damn high!

Back in 1923, the team who discovered insulin actually sold the patents to a university for practically nothing, with the inventor famously saying “Insulin does not belong to me, it belongs to the world.” He wanted everyone who needed it to have access. ...Now, a century later, people are...

I hope they find a solution, but pharmaceutical companies are so powerful in the US. It's so unfair.
