Ozempic Week 1: Almost 6 lbs Gone!

No problem! Also, don't go overboard with greasy foods when you do eat.

Ozempic Week 1: Almost 6 lbs Gone!

This is a great start for sure. I'm on my third week and I remember that first week being great due to the lack of food noise. I've found that if I skip meals the nausea starts creeping up, but eating a small amount makes it go away. Nuts have been a lifesaver!

    KPV - Anyone tried it?

If you're having sleeping problems, Guy_Fresh, consider adding tryptophan before bed. I agree with magnesium theonate, stick with it. Melatonin, in small amounts, might be ok.

    Medicare won't cover obesity meds?!

They might deny it now because the person's A1C has improved. It's still diabetes! Sounds like the insurance is trying to wear them down so they give up. Don't let them!

    KPV - Anyone tried it?

After seeing MrsRoper's posts about it, I pulled some out of my freezer when I had some weird wrist pain that wouldn't stop. Could be a coincidence, but the pain was gone in less than an hour and hasn't come back. My shoulder still aches, but it feels less severe.

    Medicare won't cover obesity meds?!

It's easier to understand if we call them 'new taxes.' The 'tariffs' are just the technical way it works.

Half a year, 40 lbs gone!

It's frustrating that we don't always see the changes in ourselves as quickly as others do. I've only lost about 15lb, but my spouse says my face is noticeably thinner.

    Bathing suits and zero f*cks!

Rocking my swimsuit at the pool, and I couldn't be happier! I'm done caring what anyone thinks. Feeling fantastic about myself and what I've achieved. Putting myself out there wasn't easy, but I'm doing it. Maybe it's my age talking, but I'm down 55+ pounds! Time for those bathing suits! You...

    Down 190 lbs! Pics inside!

I'm curious, CoolMom559, about how you're managing your protein intake during this journey. Are you tracking macros and ensuring you get enough protein to maintain muscle mass while losing weight?

    Down 190 lbs! Pics inside!

You've basically cut yourself in HALF. That's incredible! We see some pretty impressive transformations posted, but this one is truly special. Ignoring how you look (which is probably amazing), all your vital stats – blood pressure, blood sugar, etc. – must be dramatically better. Major...

Exactly! Slow weight loss is often more sustainable and allows your body to adjust. Rapid weight loss can sometimes lead to other issues.

Pics REALLY do help w/ body image!

I agree with TrimSis that retinoids can help with stretch marks. Also, staying hydrated is important for skin elasticity and overall health.
