Just got my sema, now what?

For lyophilized: stays stable for months at room temp in a dark cool spot, years in the freezer. Once reconstituted it's best in the fridge and most people use it within 30 days or so. Just keep it away from light and temperature swings.

Reta: energy boost or all-day naps?

I got more energy after about two weeks, but it was subtle at first. The first few days I was more tired than usual, then it flipped. Activity level made a big difference - on days I exercised I felt noticeably better the day after dosing versus days I just sat around. I think the baseline...

5 months in and feeling GREAT!

Five months and already feeling like a completely different person is incredible! That transformation happens faster than most expect when the medication is really working for you. Keep going, and don't overthink the dose bumps when your doctor suggests them - they often unlock the next level...

    Another 20 gone!

I've found tracking beyond just weight to be helpful. Apps like 'My Weight' can help you monitor other factors, like injection sites and side effects.

    Ozempic journey: My experience

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm really trying to be mindful this time around and make sustainable changes. It's definitely a process.

    Ozempic journey: My experience

Started Ozempic in late '23, stuck with 1mg for like 9 months, didn't change much else, and went from 388 to about 315. Had to stop because of money. Between late '24 and Oct '25, crept back up to 345. Jumped back on at .5 mg in October, actually watching what I ate this time and exercising...

    Semaglutide online scripts?

I'm using a compounded version through a telehealth provider. I'm starting my second round (12 weeks) and am pleased with both their support and my progress (about 1 pound per week).

My family is being a real downer...

Thanks! It's still hard to believe sometimes. Also, that's a good point about the jealousy thing. Maybe that's part of it.

My family is being a real downer...

I went through this whole "it's cheating" thing myself and realized that calling it cheating means it’s a game. It's my health, and I'm following my doctor's advice.

My family is being a real downer...

These replies are exactly what I needed! ❤️ You are all seriously the best. And I'll be vulnerable and say that the control this has given me over my alcohol addiction has changed my life. People don’t talk about it as much because of the stigma, but I was really struggling. Being able to stop...

My family is being a real downer...

So, I began this around June, weighing 200 pounds. I've always tried to be healthy - mostly vegetarian, some weight training and cardio a few times a week. The scale never budged. Even when I cut back to 1300 calories, I'd drop like 8 pounds then stop losing, and of course, give up after weeks...

One year on sema - check out these labs!

Interesting point about energy levels. I just had my bloodwork done after 3 weeks and my testosterone went from 222 to 365! Could be from weight loss and better blood sugar, or maybe the sema has some other impact.

One year on sema - check out these labs!

That's awesome to hear about the lipid panel improvements! I've seen similar effects. It's like a total body reset.

    Myostatin blockers & GLP-1s?

Someone mentioned they were replacing sermorelin with CJC-1295 or hexarelin. Apparently they were having an allergic reaction to the sermorelin. I'd be interested in anti-aging and fat loss too.

    Myostatin blockers & GLP-1s?

    Myostatin blockers & GLP-1s?

This podcast with Dr. Seeds touches on the idea that GLP-1's work on the atrophy gene and help with bone density during weight loss https://youtu.be/xI6Rs-LTSKc?si=WYo95lk9CAuSQ0XI. He also thinks it's wrong when people say you'll regain all the weight back if you come off GLP-1's. It's about...

    Myostatin blockers & GLP-1s?

From what I've read, you lose about the same percentage of lean mass on GLP-1's as you would with any weight loss method. Focus on traditional muscle-sparing interventions: resistance training, high protein (about 1.5-2g/kg of bodyweight, split into 3-4 meals), and sleep. Supplements like HMB...
