Sema Journey: Down 75, Keeping it Off!

Congratulations. I've lost about 70lbs and want to lose maybe another 10, but I might stop the Ozempic since my blood sugar is getting a little low with my low carb diet. You look fantastic!

Down 80 lbs in 3 years!

That's a great question! I was worried about that too, so I've really focused on increasing my protein intake and lifting consistently. I actually think I'm gaining muscle, even though I'm still losing some fat. The scale is moving slower now, but I look and feel much stronger!

    My body is changing!

I saw a post about someone who lost 107 lbs total, 50 on their own and the rest with semaglutide. They posted at SW: 205 CW: 148 (5’5”). It is encouraging to see these results!

Down 80 lbs in 3 years!

Started around 360 lbs (estimate 'cause I started tracking a bit late). Current weight: bouncing between 275-280 lbs. Mostly just trying to keep things stable and build some muscle now. Hitting the gym about 3 times a week. It's amazing how much easier it is to move around now!

    GLP-1's for Longevity?

Novo Nordisk had a big win in court that's going to limit a lot of the compounded Ozempic and Wegovy versions.

    GLP-1's for Longevity?

I actually think it's more common than people realize, but it's inconsistent and not something most people know to ask about.

    GLP-1's for Longevity?

My doctor's really against GLP-1s, but she prescribed metformin off-label. I agree, it destroyed my gut even the extended release version. Honestly, I never took it for more than a couple of weeks because of the issues. Maybe you need to adjust to it?

    GLP-1's for Longevity?

It's not specifically about GLP-1s, but a lot of people are taking Metformin alongside them, and Metformin's become a really popular 'longevity' supplement. There's already some chatter around the potential for GLP-1s to have anti-aging effects too, so it'll be interesting to see if these meds...

    Clothes are fitting different!

I'm experiencing something similar to BugTale. I've had to punch new holes in my belts. Feels good!

    Clothes are fitting different!

Great job! I recently got professionally fitted for a bra. The assistant recommended a 36" – I had been squeezing into a 42" for years! Feels liberating, doesn't it?
