9 months on Wegovy - my journey!

Primary care also has the coverage advantage - the medication counts toward deductibles and the provider relationship is there if something comes up. The cost stacking with telehealth is the part that catches people off guard - there are often two separate fees running, and it adds up quickly...

    Reta messing with your sleep?

Will do. The sleep disruption question is one worth tracking carefully on Reta.

    Tirz powder + BAC volume?

The stinging relationship with concentration is well-documented for several compounds - higher concentration means more irritation at the site. Diluting further to reduce that response is the standard approach when a compound is known to sting at higher concentrations. Volume displacement when...

    Ozempic Win! My Story

Yeah Calorie_Cake, I know *everyone* is different, but it's hard not to compare yourself when you see such dramatic results. I'm just gonna keep doing what the doc says.

    Ozempic Win! My Story

I've been on Ozempic for two full years now and I've only managed to lose around 30 pounds. It seems like it's not as effective for weight loss in men with type 2 diabetes, like myself. I have a small granola bar for breakfast and a protein shake at lunch every day. Then I have a normal dinner...

    Sticking with 0.5mg?

That happened to me too! I stayed on .5mg for 4 months before I started plateauing. That was about 3 months back, and I then increased it to .75mg. I just started 1mg last week!

    Sticking with 0.5mg?

Generally, it's best to stay at a given dose until you plateau.

    Sticking with 0.5mg?

Most people remain at each dosage until they hit a standstill, generally around a month of no weight change. Just checking--are you going somewhere to get your injection each week? That can get expensive. People using c0mpounded sema often pay around $130 monthly for all dosages.

    GLP-1s and inflammation?

It's likely from the weight loss reducing the workload on the heart. Less mass to pump blood through.

    GLP-1s and inflammation?

I was peeing like 15 times a day that first week and dropped about 10 pounds. And my bladder felt full sooner than normal...

    Ugh, these side effects!

For constipation, some of my patients have found relief with a small serving of raw fruit in the afternoon. Things like cantaloupe, pineapple, cherries, and strawberries can help.

Went back down on my dose!?

I wonder if it's possible to split doses from one pen. Like, if you have a 1mg pen, can you dial it to 0.5mg safely? I'm not sure how those pens work...

    Ugh, these side effects!

Peppermint capsules are my go-to. They really calm down the bloating for me.

    GLP-1s and inflammation?

    Zero joint discomfort here either.

Went back down on my dose!?

Perhaps you're deficient in iron or certain vitamins? That could be increasing your appetite.

    Low dose maintenance? Anyone else?

Be careful where you source your meds. There have been some issues with compounding pharmacies. Here is some info from a horse racing forum. https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/276331/federal-investigation-focuses-on-sgf-1000-mystery-of-sgf-1000-at-center-of-indictments

    Low dose maintenance? Anyone else?

I went back to the starter dose after getting to my goal and now do the lowest dose every 10 days. Maintained for over a year now! With a combo of diet and exercise, of course.

    Doc says I'm done losing?!

It's the loose skin. We've all lost so much weight and look good in clothes. But looking good naked is the next challenge. It's hard. You look amazing, by the way.

    Doc says I'm done losing?!

I haven't weighed this little in over a decade. Started in December. The medication is unbelievably good at what it does.

    Mounjaro success on my 29th!

That's fantastic! It's important to remember that everyone's journey is unique; weight loss can be affected by numerous factors. But with dedication, significant change is possible.
